Welcome! I’m a passionate and dedicated Licensed Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting both youth and adults on their paths to healing. My focus lies in helping individuals navigate trauma, overcome anxiety disorders, and improve emotional well-being through child therapy and trauma-focused interventions.

I currently have over 16 years within the non-profit sector, private practice, residential substance abuse treatment facilities, and medical Social Work facilities. And over 10 years of experience as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC). Throughout these roles, I have developed specialized skills in crisis intervention, non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), care coordination, and de-escalation techniques for clients in active crisis, alongside with identifying solution-focused practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Trauma Reprocessing. My clinical experience includes delivering comprehensive care to clients managing chronic medical conditions, complex trauma, and acute substance use disorders.

I am a solution focused therapist with 39 years of experience. My therapy style is cognitive, interactive, compassionate, and, if need be, challenging. I believe effective therapy should produce change, not just insight. I will listen to you deeply, help conceptualize the problems, patterns, and dynamics which are causing you trouble, and give you feedback. I am a compassionate psychiatric provider that is dedicated to my practice. I started my psychiatric career as a technician in forensic psychiatry. I worked with individuals who had comitted crimes and were either attempting to determine competency, or were found not guilty by reason of insanity. As my education blossomed, I began working as a nurse on a child and adolescent crisis stabilization unit. I found a massive love for child and adolescent psychiatry and spent most of my career working crisis stabilization and residential psychiatric care for children and adolescents. This gave me significant experience working with many different cultures. After I graduated with my doctorate, I began working psychiatric outpatient. I now see patients of all ages (children 4+, adolescents, adults and geriatric). I thrive on a strong therapeutic relationship and making sure my patients feel heard. I am open minded and non-bias.
