Hello, my name is Justine Paquette and I have been a therapist in a community-based practice for children and families for over two years. I am nonbinary and part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I have a master's degree from Bay Path University and have my LMHC. The treatment areas that I specialize in are trauma, anxiety, adhd and am a safe space for the LGBT community.
I’m a caring and nonjudgmental therapist who believes everyone deserves a safe space to be heard and supported. I work alongside my clients with compassion, helping them navigate challenges and discover what helps them feel their best. Nothing makes me happier than seeing people grow, heal, and reach their goals!!
I am a seasoned professional who specializes in working with highly sensitive people. My varied training including Gestalt therapy, EMDR, Life Coaching and Hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique and Spiritual Response Therapy enables me to help you go deep, get to the root of an issue, and create satisfying resolutions.
I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico where a transpersonal approach was fostered, that is, taking into account the psychological as well as the spiritual aspects of our clients. I also studied at the Coaches Training Institute, EMDRIA for EMDR training, The Gestalt Institute of Santa Fe, the Hypnotherapy Academy of America in Albuquerque NM, and the Spiritual Response Association. I am also a life-long meditator and spiritual practitioner. In addition to working as a therapist for the last 21 years, I have been a marketing director, a psychic and a life coach.
Many of my clients are healers, therapists, teachers, artists, psychics and spiritual practitioners. They are seeking someone who can understand their rich inner world as well as the challenges of their outer world. They are seeking a therapist who can track intuitively and work with them respectfully to release unwanted limiting beliefs and traumas so that they can truly shine and achieve their goals.
I am currently writing a book called, "The Misfit Mystic" which addresses the issue of struggling to fit into society with psychic and spiritual sensibilities.
My therapeutic method is tailored to fit your temperament and individual experience. You may be facing a combination of personal, social, and institutional adversity. Discomfort may be unavoidable, but you are not alone; I can help you transform hardship or tragedy into resilience. My process is effective; it evolves as you do. If you experience negative feelings like inadequacy, grief, or shame, I can help you understand the origin of the discomfort and make changes toward ease. Sometimes, worry can be helpful; other times, anxiety and depression lie to us. Having worked in both economically-strained and prosperous communities, I have seen the impact of trauma and neglect on various people. I also understand being a white male can insulate me against the prejudice and discrimination commonly experienced by people of color, women, and the LGBTQ community; I trust my client’s experiences and take responsibility for my blind spots.
Maybe what aches most is not the change itself, but the fear that someone you love is slipping out of reach — even if that someone is you. Everything feels different, yet somehow the same. One minute you are putting on pajamas, and the next you are spiraling because it is the first moment of quiet you have had all day. There is this gut feeling that your heart can no longer be bound with band-aids, but soul-searching is a lot before the alarm goes off tomorrow. You do not have to make sense of it all alone at midnight — that is what I am here for.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Searching for therapists in Brockton starts with knowing what kind of support you want and which therapist background fits that need. Therapists may focus on concerns like anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, trauma, or work stress. As you compare options, look for listed specialties that match what you want to discuss. A therapist’s bio can also show whether they use approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, or other methods that fit your preferences.
In a smaller city like Brockton, the number of nearby in-person offices may vary by neighborhood, schedule, and specialty. Virtual therapy can expand your options while still letting you work with a therapist licensed in Massachusetts. When narrowing your search, consider whether the therapist is accepting new patients, offers appointment times that fit your calendar, and provides a free phone consultation. Reading profiles before booking can help you compare communication style, session structure, and what each therapist focuses on in care.
Therapy in Brockton can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs. Headway helps you search for therapists who match your needs, accepts a wide range of insurance plans nationally, and shows your estimated out-of-pocket cost before you book. You can compare therapists, review bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
