Hi, I’m Chris.
I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University. I’ve spent the past eight years working in child protection social work supporting teens and families, and earlier in my career I worked with adults living with severe and persistent mental illness through the Department of Mental Health.
I specialize in working with teenage boys and young men struggling with anxiety, ADHD, low motivation, school stress, emotional regulation, and conflict at home. Many parents reach out when their son seems stuck, withdrawn, or increasingly focused on gaming, vaping, or marijuana, and they’re not sure how to help without creating more tension.
I also work closely with teens and young men navigating the transition from high school into college, work, or greater independence—helping them build confidence, direction, and practical life skills during this important stage.
I focus first on building trust, especially with teens who may be unsure about therapy. Many of the teens I work with aren’t sure they want therapy at first, and part of my role is helping them feel comfortable enough to see that support can actually be useful and relevant to their lives. From there, I help them develop practical skills to manage stress, improve focus and motivation, and move forward with greater confidence.
I am a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with 10+ years of experience in the healthcare field. I have a strong background in acute care that has taught me the importance of comprehensive assessments and helps me to understand the metabolic factors that impact psychiatric conditions.
Is there a heavy feeling in your chest that you just can't seem to shake? Do you ever feel as if your coping skills are not working or you just don't have the desire to even try anymore? Are you losing sleep because your thoughts are racing? Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Anger Management, Family Issues, Maritial Infidelity, ADHD or Life Transitions? If it is difficult for you, then it's important to talk about. Therapy will help you to explore your understanding of why you feel the way you do.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Florida, New Jersey, Iowa, and Massachusetts, with several years of experience supporting individuals through trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I earned my Master’s in Social Work and have since worked in both residential and outpatient settings, helping adults navigate complex emotional experiences and build lasting resilience.
I’m trained in EMDR therapy and integrate evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. My style is warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, creating a space where you can safely explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves, heal from the past, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience as a psychotherapist and career counselor. I have worked with clients with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, adjusting to college life and career challenges. I also have experience counseling clients with medical illnesses including Long Covid. My therapy style has been described as warm and engaging; I believe in creating a safe space with respect, compassion and open dialogue necessary to building trust.
I get so excited to watch clients learn more about themselves, build self confidence and grow as individuals. The transformations I have witnessed in the people I have worked with over the years is amazing and awe inspiring. Emotional pain can be incredibly difficult to deal with, especially on one’s own. Ultimately, we all deserve to feel better about ourselves and learn to care for ourselves in a more kind and accepting way.
I am a U.S. Navy veteran that came to therapy late in life after a successful career in Tech. I am very analytical but also empathic, compassionate and humorous.
