I am a nurse practitioner with over 20years experience in psychiatric mental health. I am board certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner across life span. I completed my advanced Graduate Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. My area of specialization includes treatment of Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, Posttraumatic disorder (PTSD), Sleep issues and medication management.
Debra McKinney-Hill is a seasoned mental health and addictions therapist with over 20 years of experience guiding individuals, couples, and families through the challenges of mental health and substance misuse. Her extensive background includes working with a wide range of issues, from anxiety and depression to complex addiction recovery, always with compassion and a solution-focused mindset.
If you’ve been holding it together for everyone else — you’re in the right place. I work with women in their 20s and 30s who are smart, self-aware, and tired. Tired of feeling the pressure to have it all figured out. Tired of coping in all the wrong ways. My clients come in navigating problems like: anxiety and unhealthy behaviors due to stress, family dynamics that are hard to name but impossible to ignore, and relationship challenges with romantic partners or friends.
I am a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2018 from the University of Maryland, then subsequently earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University. I have experience working in an inpatient psychiatric facility caring for adults with various psychiatric conditions. My goal is to establish a therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect.
I am licensed and credentialed in New Jersey and Colorado. I am accepting new clients from those states.
I bring nearly two decades of clinical experience across prevention, outpatient, residential, and program leadership settings. I am a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), a certified clinical supervisor (CCS), and a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP) and I am certified in addiction-informed mental health (CAIMHP). That means I understand how anxiety, trauma, addiction, and relationship patterns often overlap — and I treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. My style is direct, compassionate, and grounded. I believe therapy should feel safe but also purposeful. I will listen carefully and validate your experience, but I will also help you gently challenge patterns that are keeping you stuck. My goal is not just insight — it’s meaningful change. Clients often describe me as down to earth, funny, honest, and practical. I am not overly clinical or full of jargon. I believe in real conversations, collaborative goal-setting, and helping you build tools you can actually use in your everyday life.
If you are struggling with addiction, anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship stress, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Therapy with me is a space where you can be honest, imperfect, and human — while still moving toward growth and stability.
I help children, including very young children, learn the skills they need to handle intense emotions of frustration and anxiety. In the initial phases of therapy I focus on enhancing your relationship with your child through play and improved communication, and then in the second phase we will focus on decreasing meltdowns, tantrums and aggression. You will experience a strengthened bond with your child and feel more empowered and capable of handling challenging behaviors. By addressing your child’s emotional difficulties now, you prevent future mental health concerns and lower your child's risk of social and psychological difficulties in the future. I have been an Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2007 having spent most of my career in Child & Adolescent Outpatient Mental Health and Early Intervention.
Hello there! My name is Anjelica and I look forward to learning more about you! I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience in the field. I received my BA in Psychology from Penn State and my MSW from Walden University. The majority of my experience as a young social worker came from a large community mental health agency in Ocean County, NJ. I spent a lot of time with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, major depression, trauma, ext). One of my favorite populations to work with are the homeless. I spent years working for PATH in the community and found this work exceptionally rewarding. I also worked for a time with local police departments as the department social worker. Another population I enjoy working with is teens. My graduate internship was at a shelter for children and adolescents aged 10-19 who were homelessness or waiting for foster placement. I have experience working with children, teens, adults, and seniors in an outpatient therapeutic setting.
