Hello there! My name is Anjelica and I look forward to learning more about you! I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience in the field. I received my BA in Psychology from Penn State and my MSW from Walden University. The majority of my experience as a young social worker came from a large community mental health agency in Ocean County, NJ. I spent a lot of time with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, major depression, trauma, ext). One of my favorite populations to work with are the homeless. I spent years working for PATH in the community and found this work exceptionally rewarding. I also worked for a time with local police departments as the department social worker. Another population I enjoy working with is teens. My graduate internship was at a shelter for children and adolescents aged 10-19 who were homelessness or waiting for foster placement. I have experience working with children, teens, adults, and seniors in an outpatient therapeutic setting.
Welcome! I specialize in evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders, ADHD, Autism, trauma-related concerns, grief, and life transitions. I work with clients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, first responders, veterans, and families seeking structured support and meaningful change.
I use compassion, warmth, and a touch of humor to help clients feel safe, understood, and at ease during our work together. I also strive to create a supportive environment where clients can explore challenges without judgment and reconnect with their strengths.
Therapeutically, I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed practices, psychodynamic approaches, DBT skills, mindfulness, and strengths-based coaching to support clarity, healing, and growth at each client’s pace.
Inspired by the Tibetan Buddhist concept of the Four Immeasurables—happiness, joy, compassion, and equanimity—my practice reflects a commitment to cultivating emotional resilience and deeper wellbeing in everyday life.
Whether you're seeking support through stress, trauma, neurodivergence, identity development, or life transitions, my role is to walk with you, guide you, and help you discover meaningful change from the inside out.
Life has a lot of turning points, and navigating them can feel incredibly overwhelming. I work with individuals who are trying to manage major life changes, handle daily stress, or are just figuring out how to navigate life. Together, we will cut through the noise and build practical ways to help you thrive on your own terms and establish the confidence you need to live authentically.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding therapists in Sparta starts with knowing what kind of support you want from care. You may be looking for help with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, or life transitions. As you compare therapists, look for training and specialties that match your needs. A therapist’s profile can show whether they use approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or acceptance and commitment therapy.
In a smaller community like Sparta, local office options may be more limited than in larger parts of New Jersey. Virtual therapy can expand your search while still connecting you with a therapist licensed in New Jersey. Consider practical details like appointment availability, whether a therapist is accepting new patients, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading therapist bios can also help you understand their communication style, session structure, and experience before you book.
Therapy in Sparta can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to lower your session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you search for therapists who match your needs, take your insurance, and offer virtual or in-person appointments. You can review profiles, see estimated costs after entering your insurance, and book directly when you’re ready.
