Do you notice patterns of behaviors that you are unsatisfied with? Therapy is a significant step towards working through and facing life's most difficult challenges. I have worked with adults, adolescents and children treating issues of adjustment, self-doubt, mood swings, trauma and anxiety attacks. When you approach the therapeutic process with curiosity, you can grow, heal, and thrive.
I have over 10 years of experience working with individuals who are struggling to find their way in a complicated world. My practice offers a space for anyone who is looking for a sense of shelter and refuge where they can breathe, process their thoughts and feelings and find meaning in their life. I believe that everyone has the capacity to change and develop internal strength and resilience. It is my goal to empower those who are seeking new ways of looking at themselves and their relationships. Talk therapy has the ability to soothe our hearts and minds. More than ever, we need to find ways to reprogram our fear-driven minds.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in individual and couples therapy. I have over twenty years of experience working with a wide variety of clinical problems. I am most interested in working with individuals who are curious about themselves and who believe that they may find some relief from their struggles by examining their thoughts and feelings in the context of their relational history.
Life begins when you know who you are. But the path to self-knowledge can be fraught and hard to find. “Be yourself,” “create yourself,” “find yourself”–these are some of the injunctions that might waylay any earnest seeker. When we learn to sit with the uncomfortable parts of self–the parts that make us want to crawl out of our skin–revelation can occur.
Talk therapy can be a place to learn how to be interested in ourselves and in our past. When we learn to love ourselves the way we wish to be loved, our relationships can flourish. We can deepen our genuine interest in others. When it works, psychotherapy can inspire incredible capacity and resolve to bend towards the future and embrace change

Therapists can help with a wide range of concerns — from anxiety, depression, and trauma to relationship challenges, life transitions, and more. Some specialize in specific approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), while others focus on working with particular communities or age groups. Knowing what matters most to you can help narrow your search.
The Bronx is home to a large and diverse population, and finding a provider who understands your background can make a real difference. Consider whether you'd prefer a therapist who shares your cultural identity, speaks your language, or has experience with concerns specific to your community. Practical factors matter too — like whether you want in-person sessions in your neighborhood or the flexibility of virtual appointments, and whether evening or weekend availability fits your schedule.
Therapy in New York City can be expensive, but using your in-network insurance benefits is one of the most reliable ways to lower your out-of-pocket costs. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs upfront, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, so you can find a therapist in the Bronx who fits your needs and your budget.
