I’ve been helping people for over 20 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I’m so proud of you for taking this important step toward caring for yourself. It’s not always easy, and it shows strength and courage.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, addressing a wide range of challenges. My experience includes school settings, college multicultural affairs, outpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and mental health counseling.
I also spent nine years in a hospital setting, working in psychiatric emergency services and on adolescent and adult inpatient units. This gave me extensive experience in crisis intervention and in supporting people through both mild and severe mental health concerns. Today, I continue to work in outpatient mental health, helping clients navigate life’s challenges and build resilience.
My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll work toward the changes you want to see in your life. I look forward to working with you.
I view therapy as a collaborative process where clients are invited to make sense of their experiences in a way that feels authentic to them. Rather than directing the process, I focus on creating a supportive environment where individuals can speak openly, reflect at their own pace, and gain insight into their thoughts and emotions. In the midst of busy and often overwhelming daily life, having intentional time to pause and look inward can be a powerful part of personal growth.
Creating room for reflection can open the door to new perspectives and a deeper awareness of internal experiences. As clients begin to better understand their emotional responses and patterns, they often find greater clarity in how they relate to themselves and others. This increased awareness can support more intentional decision-making and help guide the next steps in their personal growth.
Let me share some information about myself. I am a graduate from Brooklyn College for my BA degree and I attended NYU for my masters degree in social work. I have worked in different setting over the years and really enjoy working with all different age groups. I enjoy families, couples and individuals. I enjoy seeing the progress my clients make once they start to see their own patterns and what they feel they should change.
"Clients start to heal the moment they feel heard".
I support teens, adults, and couples who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves or each other. My clients are thoughtful, resilient people seeking a gentle, grounded space where they can feel seen, supported, and safe enough to reconnect with who they truly are—and with the relationships that matter most. People come to me when life feels heavy, when past experiences linger, anxiety builds, or connection feels harder to access, and they’re ready for compassionate support that helps them move forward with more clarity and ease.
I am nonjudgmental and open-minded
I approach the conversations without preconceived notions or judgements
I encourage openness and honesty
Let the clients know that they can speak freely and their honesty is appreciated and important
Hi, I'm Taylor, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and New Jersey. I specialize in working with young adults, including college and graduate students as well as young professionals navigating life transitions, anxiety, and high self-expectations.
I cannot move mountains for you, but I can help you climb. Facing fears, healing from loss, finding meaning and joy - these are the inevitable tasks of life. Therapy may be your first step or your last resort. Often people avoid it all together because they believe their pain is too great, worry they will be judged or that their situation is too complicated. Some people believe they should solve problems on their own or only with family and friends. However, while family and friends may want the best for us, they often come with opinions or past hurts. Sometimes it helps to have a safe space outside your daily experience.
I am a board- certified psychiatric nurse practitioner committed to compassionate, ethical, and individualized mental health care.

Finding the right therapist in New Windsor starts with identifying what kind of support you're looking for. Providers in the area offer care for a range of concerns — from anxiety and depression to relationship challenges, family issues, and life transitions. Whether you're looking for a licensed clinical social worker, a psychologist, or a mental health counselor, reading a provider's bio can help you understand their approach and decide if they're a good match.
New Windsor is a smaller community within Orange County, and the number of local providers can feel limited. Expanding your search to include nearby areas like Newburgh, Cornwall-on-Hudson, and the broader Hudson Valley — or considering virtual sessions — can open up more options. Many licensed therapists in New York offer both in-person and virtual appointments, giving you more flexibility in who you see and when.
Therapy in the Hudson Valley can be expensive without insurance. Using your in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay per session. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs upfront, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a therapist who fits your needs and your budget.
