My experience includes working with individuals with severe and persistent mental health needs, addiction, women’s mental health, perinatal and postpartum mental health, and trauma. As a 55-year-old African American female provider, I bring both clinical expertise and life experience into my practice, creating a compassionate and supportive space where patients feel heard, respected, and understood.

My approach to care is holistic and patient-centered, recognizing that mental health is influenced by emotional, physical, social, and cultural factors. I practice using a participatory and affirming style, partnering with my patients to develop treatment plans that align with their goals, values, and strengths. I am a Board-Certified Psychiatrist licensed in TN and MI and I offer a wide range of services including therapy and treatment for Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Anxiety disorders, PTSD and ADHD. I graduated from University of Pennsylvania and am a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and have 26 years of experience. I have worked in Inpatient and outpatient services having served patients in CMHC, and I am currently in Outpatient Private Practice.

I work with adolescents and adults ages 15 and older, helping individuals navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, and feeling stuck. I offer both in-person services near Knoxville and telehealth across Tennessee to make quality care more accessible.
