I am a board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I've worked in different practice settings, including private practice, community mental health, homeless and correctional services, and addiction. I treat and manage a range of disorders ( depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD, addictions, etc).

I am dual licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I have extensive experience working in private practice and residential treatment for addiction and severe mental health. In addition to my MA for counseling I also have a Master of Theology and enjoy working with individuals navigating their spirituality.

I believe that therapy should be tailored to each client individually as it is not a “one size fits all" solution. Whether or not you have a “diagnosis”, therapy is incredibly important and is a space where you get to talk about your everyday stressors or your major traumas. It’s up to you. I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Master's Degree in Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I spent the beginning of my career in mental health working at an MHMR, as well as with those struggling with addiction and eating disorders.

I hold a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, with experience supporting individuals facing medical issues and those from diverse backgrounds, including sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, religion, and immigration status.
