Education & Credentials
Healing happens when you feel seen, supported, and empowered to move forward. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, OCD, family conflict, anger management, and cultural & ethnic identity concerns while also helping clients facing depression, trauma, stress, grief, ADHD, relationship challenges, women's issues, physical health concerns, and life transitions. With more than 17 years of experience in mental health, I bring a diverse background that includes private practice, school counseling, and serving as an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant. These experiences have strengthened my belief that lasting growth happens through meaningful connections—with ourselves, our relationships, and our communities. Whether you're seeking support during a difficult season or looking to create lasting change, I'm committed to meeting you where you are with compassion, respect, and practical guidance.

I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where you can be fully yourself without judgment. I also understand the importance of balancing mental health with real-life challenges like school, work, and relationships, and I integrate practical strategies to help you thrive in each area.
Most importantly, I want clients to know that they are not alone. Together, we will work at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on both healing and building the confidence to move forward.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been licensed for 24 years and have worked with children and adults in Community Mental Health settings, parenting programs, Child Protective Services and drug education. I use person-centered, behavior therapy, thought changing, unconditional positive regard, solution-focused and reality therapy to name a few. I have worked with ADHD, OCD, grief issues, trauma and abuse, and mental illness.
For the past 8 years, I’ve worked closely with elderly and disabled individuals, supporting them through life’s emotional and practical challenges. Before becoming a social worker, I worked in banking, but I felt a strong pull toward work that allowed me to truly make a difference in people’s lives. That calling led me to counseling. I bring compassion, patience, and a deep respect for each person’s story into the work we do together.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who specializes in working with adolescents, teens, and young people navigating emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. Many of the teens and families I support are dealing with anxiety, depression, anger outbursts, defiance, low self-esteem, school stress, peer conflict, family tension, and difficulty managing big emotions. Parents often come to me feeling overwhelmed, unsure how to help, or concerned about changes in behavior, mood, or communication at home.
I believe healing begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where young people can safely express themselves, build trust, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop a stronger sense of identity and self-worth. My work also focuses on helping families improve communication, reduce conflict, rebuild connection, and create more stable, supportive relationships at home. My goal is to help teens feel more confident and families feel more connected.
