I have found my own personal healing to be intimately connected to nature, and it is here that I believe that we can all begin to rediscover our intrinsic humanity and let go of those things that distract us from our higher selves. In my spare time, I work as an outdoor educator and manage my own private practice and guide Outdoor Retreats

(Not accepting EAPs)
I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. My undergraduate B.A and graduate M.A. training took place at Wheaton College. Following graduate school in the midwest, I moved to the west coast, where I attended the California School of Professional Psychology. Here, I earned a M.A in applied psychology and Psy. D. in clinical psychology with a dual emphasis in forensics and family therapy. My research consisted of working with high risk sexual offenders. Following my time on the west coast, I worked as a Staff Psychologist and Assistant Professor at a local university. In my free time, I train in combat arts and play guitar (try at least ;-).
College and early adulthood can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time. I work with college students and young adults who are navigating academic pressure, shifting friendships, family expectations, dating, and big life decisions. You might look like you’re managing it all, but inside you feel anxious, unsure of yourself, or constantly comparing where you are to everyone else. Whether you’re struggling with burnout, identity questions, or just trying to figure out your next step, therapy can be a place to slow down and actually breathe.
I believe that it is important for everyone to know that they matter! While the content is serious in nature, I imbue a bit of levity and hope as appropriate.
I am motivated to help motivate and assist others to take the steps necessary in combating challenges and improving their quality of life.
I have worked with all ages, with professional experience spanning mental health, behavioral care, education, business, writing and more. I enjoy time with family & friends, fishing, crabbing, sports, writing, cooking, music, the great outdoors and more.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your relationship — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding couples therapists in Glendale starts with understanding what you and your partner want to work on together. Couples therapy may support concerns like communication breakdowns, conflict patterns, trust after infidelity, major life transitions, or parenting disagreements. Not all therapists have specific training in couples work, so look for a licensed marriage and family therapist or a therapist who lists couples modalities such as the Gottman Method or emotionally focused therapy in their profile.
In a mid-sized city like Glendale, the right match depends on both clinical fit and practical details. One therapist needs to work for both partners’ schedules, location preferences, and appointment format. Some people prefer meeting in person, while others choose virtual sessions for more flexibility. As you compare therapists in Glendale, AZ, review availability, session structure, and whether a free phone consultation is offered. Bios can also show how a therapist works with couples and what you can expect in early sessions.
Couples counseling in Glendale, AZ can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs. Headway helps you compare therapists who are accepting new patients, review detailed profiles, and see your estimated out-of-pocket cost before booking. You can browse marriage counseling in Glendale, compare virtual and in-person options, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're experiencing or worried about violence, threats, or coercion in your relationship, couples therapy isn't usually the right starting point — individual support is safer. The National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788\) can help you think through next steps.
