Hello! I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with 10+ years of nursing experience in psychiatric care and a specialization in mental health crisis stabilization and ketamine care. I earned my Bachelor's and Graduate degree at New York University. I am passionate about providing quality and comprehensive mental health services to adolescents and adults.

I’m a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and my path into this work comes from a genuine desire to help people feel understood and supported during some of their hardest moments. My experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings has shown me how complex mental health can be, so I approach each client with empathy, patience, and respect for their individual story. I specialize in treating anxiety, ADHD, depression, and mood disorders.

With over a decade of experience supporting vulnerable children, families, and adults, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people navigate their most challenging seasons—specializing in substance use recovery and child and adolescent mental health.

My background is rooted in a BA in Psychology from the University of Delaware and an MSW from West Chester University. While my training prepared me to navigate complex medical and educational systems like school IEP/504 meetings, disciplinary boards, hospital teams, and the foster care system, my real-world experience has taught me that every individual and family needs a unique, compassionate approach.

I’m a firm believer that the world needs more laughter, and that therapy doesn't always have to feel heavy. When I’m not in the office, I’m usually painting or glued to a good book. I believe that therapy, much like art, is a process of creation and discovery, and I’d be honored to walk that path with you.

I am a board-certified, bilingual (English/Spanish) psychiatrist who is passionate about understanding my clients at a deeper level and helping them find the emotional wellbeing they seek. After finishing my residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System, where I served as a Chief Resident, I completed a two-year interpersonal psychoanalysis course at the William Alanson White Institute in New York City.

Growing up in Ghana, talk therapy and mental illness was not a subject of discussion in my culture. I became fascinated with talk therapy during my college years in America. I have over 15yrs experience in behavioral health and have worked with with adults with serious mental illnessess, children, families and groups.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C), LICSW who mainly specializes in, adult individual, couples, and family counseling. I am currenlty licensed in MD, DC, DE, and FL. I have 20 years of experience providing therapy for individuals, families, and couples. I also have over 28 years of experience working in various social work settings. I am a certified life coach, a licensed minister as well as an author. I believe that every person has the right and ability to live a purposeful and fulfilled life. My goal is to empower, affirm and build individuals to reach their maximum potential. I will never impose religious beleifs on my clients and will always value and support their individual perspectives. I enjoy facilitating workshops on various life issues, divorce, grief and loss and empowerment. I have facilitated several trainings for other professionals and I have conduct training around Grief and Loss, Trauma Informed Care, and Understanding Child Development.
