Hi, I’m Gisselle. I work with women and adults who are navigating anxiety, trauma, stress, and life transitions — especially during seasons that feel overwhelming or uncertain. Many of my clients are trying to hold everything together on the outside, while internally feeling stuck, exhausted, or unsure how to move forward.
With a background in public service and years of experience supporting people from all walks of life, I bring a deep sense of compassion and understanding to the work we do together. Clients often describe me as warm, supportive, and easy to open up to.
I started my career in New York City then moved my practice to the sunny state of Florida. My experience over the past 15 years is working with adults navigating everything from everyday stress to deeper emotional wounds. Life gets complicated sometimes, but you don't have to do it alone! Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people through their most vulnerable moments—and watching them rediscover their strength, gain clarity and build confidence.

Welcome. Seeking support can feel difficult, especially when you're managing overwhelming emotions, relationship stress, painful experiences, or simply feeling disconnected from the life you want to live. I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, bipolar disorder, PTSD, women's issues, and challenges related to self-esteem, life transitions, and relationships. I understand that healing looks different for everyone, and I believe therapy should provide a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. Whether you're struggling with day-to-day stress, navigating the impact of past experiences, or trying to make sense of difficult emotions, my goal is to help you gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and build a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling. Together, we can create meaningful change while honoring your unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
I am the wife of a veteran, and mother of three. I have been working with children, families and couples for over 20 years. I believe in empowering others and helping them find their own peace. I will work with you, meeting you where you are at, allowing you to work at your own pace. I have always had a calling to help and to heal using humor with a shared understanding of this thing, we call life, and the trials that come with it. I'm here to assist clients to understand that there is another side; and on that side there is hope. I graduated from USC, have been trained in several ways to do heal emotional wounds. Together we can work on anything from simple life issues, ADHD, all things to include extreme trauma(s) such as such as domestic violence. Behavioral issues between parent and child are also a specialty. One of the biggest rewards is watching clients achieve the goals that they set for themselves, and finally realizing that they were able to do what they never thought was possible.
I believe that therapy is a journey that first begins with the courage to heal. Therapy should be a safe place to heal, discover, grow, and find moments of selah--which means to pause and reflect. The following quote sums up what I believe the healing process looks like: “Life is like an onion; you peel it off one layer at a time, and sometimes you weep” (Carl Sandburg).
Whether this is your first time experience with therapy or you’re returning after some time away, my goal is to provide a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable being yourself and sharing your story at your own pace. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over a decade of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other emotional challenges.
I have over two decades of Social Work experience. I have worked in high school settings for over 20 years with a variety of students to include: LGBTQ+, anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma, ADHD, and teen parenting. Prior to working in the school setting, I worked with homeless families as well as domestic violence victims.
As a DNP-prepared, board-certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I firmly believe everyone has the right to quality mental health care. With many years of experience in mental health and a diverse nursing background, I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment. This is a space where you can feel secure, understood, and empowered to achieve your optimal mental health. Congratulations on taking the first step toward living a fulfilling life.

Headway helps you find expert-guided support for every stage of motherhood — from finding the right therapist or psychiatrist, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right postpartum therapist in Miami starts with identifying what kind of support you need. Postpartum depression, anxiety, and mood changes are among the most common concerns new parents face, and providers who specialize in perinatal mental health are trained to address them. A licensed therapist, counselor, or psychiatrist with experience in postpartum care can help you work through what you're feeling and determine the best path forward.
Miami-Dade County has a large community of mental health providers, but narrowing your options can feel like a lot — especially when you're adjusting to life with a new baby. Consider what matters most to you: a provider who speaks your language, someone available for virtual sessions so you can attend from home, or a specific approach to care. Reading a provider's bio before booking can help you understand their background and decide if they're a good match.
Therapy in Miami can be expensive out of pocket, but using your in-network insurance benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce costs. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before you book, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with 2765 insurance plans, making it easier to find a postpartum therapist who is both the right clinical fit and covered by your plan.
