Hi there, I'm Dr. Nadeem, a Board Certified Psychiatrist. I was trained at Ivy League and prestigious institutions, completing my residency at Cornell University and my fellowship at Brown University. Over the years, I've cared for patients across a wide range of settings including inpatient, outpatient, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and more recently as a tele-health Psychiatrist. I've also had the privilege of teaching medical students along the way, which deepened my belief that truly good psychiatric care starts with truly listening.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Over the past 10 years I have worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor, Group Facilitator, Counseling families, Individuals, The Sheltered Homeless population, First Responders, and the geriatric population. How do we make sense of our stuff? This is a critical question. Life can be challenging and sometimes we can’t understand what we are experiencing and why. Much of our ability to overcome adversity originates from our mindset- how we process our experiences. It is the lens through which we view our reality.
Essentially, what contributes to our overall well-being is not necessarily the absence of setbacks but rather how we respond to these experiences. Our ability to accept our challenges, to make meaning out of them, to understand how they serve us, is necessary for our personal growth. I work with my clients to help them shift their mindset and to find meaning in all of life’s experiences.
I have been a been a practicing Social Worker for twenty years. I hold a Ph.D. in Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Multisystemic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Structural Family Therapy. I also have extensive experience with Trauma Informed Care as well as grief and bereavement work. I partner with my clients to determine which approach might be most meaningful to them.

Headway helps you stay on track with expert-guided support for ADHD — from finding the right therapist or psychiatrist, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right ADHD provider in Orlando starts with understanding what type of care you need. Therapists — such as licensed mental health counselors (LMHCs), clinical social workers (LCSWs), and psychologists — can help you build strategies for managing focus, organization, and impulsivity through approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can evaluate ADHD symptoms and manage medication. Some people benefit from working with both a therapist and a psychiatrist, and Headway's network includes both provider types across the greater Orlando area, including Altamonte Springs, Winter Park, and Oviedo.
When choosing an ADHD provider, consider what matters most to you — whether that's experience with adult ADHD, a specific therapeutic approach, availability for evening or weekend sessions, or the option to meet virtually. Reading a provider's bio can help you understand their style and areas of focus before you book. Many providers on Headway also offer a free phone consultation so you can see if they're a good fit.
Therapy in Orlando can be expensive out of pocket, but using your in-network insurance benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce costs. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before your first appointment, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find an ADHD specialist who fits both your clinical needs and your budget.
