Miriam Fernandes, MSN, PMHNP-BC
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and burnout. My professional background includes experience in both high-acuity and outpatient psychiatric settings, where I have worked with individuals facing complex emotional and behavioral health challenges.
I strive to create a safe, respectful space where clients feel heard and empowered. My goal is to partner with you in developing a treatment plan that supports long-term wellness and meaningful change.
In a world where there is endless advice, online "experts" and seemingly easy fixes, it can be challenging to hit a roadblock and find that nothing feels quite right. Whether it is depression, anxiety, or just a general sense that something is “off”, it keeps you stuck. And you just can't figure out how to fix it. While I have no answers, I offer a place to pause, reflect, and talk about what’s been holding you back. And most importantly, what you want to happen next.
I am a behavioral health clinician specializing in mood disorders, anxiety, trauma‐related conditions, and the emotional complexities that arise alongside chronic medical and cognitive challenges. My practice blends clinical precision with a calm, supportive presence, helping individuals feel understood, grounded, and empowered throughout their care.
Don’t just treat symptoms—but listen for the story behind them.
Integration of medical, psychiatric, and psychosocial threads into a coherent and dignified plan.
Hi, my name is Rachel Register and I am a licensed independent clinical social worker who has been in practice in Massachusetts as well as New Hampshire for over 10 years working with adults, couples and families. Hi would you want to join me in your success story?I have been licensed in MA for over twenty years. I have helped families, couples and individuals navigate rough times with great success. I would love to help you!
I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with experience supporting young and middle-aged adults navigating anxiety, trauma, relational conflict, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are navigating career stress, relationship challenges, identity shifts, or feeling overwhelmed by competing responsibilities. My background in social work shapes the way I view mental health within the context of family systems, culture, and life experiences. I strive to create a space that feels supportive, grounded and respectful of your unique story.
I grew up in MA. I went to both public and catholic schools. I earned a 2nd degree black belt from Premier Martial Arts. I earned a BA in Psychology from UML. I worked at a group home for teenagers, then one for adult men with schizophrenia. I worked as a support and then a lead teacher at a day program for adults with developmental disabilities. There, I learned a lot about Behaviorism and ABA. I was then able to work as a clinician as I finished my graduate degree.
I earned my graduate degree at Fitchburg State University. I did my internship at the Community Health Center in Fitchburg. I worked in community mental health before venturing out on my own.
I work with individuals navigating emotional pain, life transitions, and personal growth, offering a steady, compassionate therapeutic presence.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the mental health field, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, respect, and clinical insight. I have had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, supporting them through concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and personal growth.
For nearly two decades, I have served as a therapist in a college counseling setting in Vermont, working closely with young adults during pivotal stages of their development. In addition, I have provided care in both community mental health and hospital emergency settings, supporting individuals and families in moments of acute crisis. These diverse clinical experiences have deepened my understanding of the many ways people experience distress and the many pathways toward healing.
