Some of my background...
After raising a blended family, I decided to go back to school and change careers. Therapy lets me combine two of my lifelong passions: helping others succeed and horses. I now divide my time fairly evenly between working with horses and providing therapy.
I graduated from Oakland University in 2021 with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I worked with a non-profit group for a year before starting my practice in 2022.
I have my Master's degree in Social Work and have worked with clients for over 30 years. I provide a safe environment in order for you to feel comfortable and work toward your goals.
Maybe you're the one everyone relies on. The helper, the overthinker, the people-pleaser, the perfectionist, or the one who always seems to have it together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, fertility and infertility challenges, postpartum transitions, relationship concerns, and major life changes. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the need to have everything figured out.
I approach therapy with respect, curiosity, and a bit of humor. I offer trauma-informed care which has led me to work with people who have gone through hard times and survived. I earned my master’s degree from Michigan State University and have stayed in the East Lansing area since then, working in local residential treatment facilities for teens and in an outpatient intensive treatment program with adults. I have spent the last 15 years working with adults in crisis, whether that is temporary situations like relationship issues or more chronic conditions.
I have over 10 years of helping people reach their goals. My past history includes case management, therapy and administration. My love is working with others to help them find peace.
