Hello, and welcome. I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Licensed Master Social Worker with experience treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, substance use, and other mental health concerns. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual. I believe meaningful care starts with feeling heard and understood. I combine medication management with supportive therapy and practical coping strategies to help patients build resilience, improve daily functioning, and create lasting change. My goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free space where we can work together toward your personal goals and wellbeing.
With over 20 years of experience in the helping field, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside children, adults, couples, and families through many seasons of life. My work has been shaped by a deep respect for each person’s story and a belief that meaningful change begins in a space where you feel safe, seen, and understood.
I’m especially passionate about supporting individuals and couples navigating life transitions, grief, anxiety, trauma, and relational challenges. I have extensive experience working with betrayal trauma and the impact it can have on both individuals and relationships. I also hold specialized training for perinatal and post-partum moms and am a Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT-C).
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a decade of experience in psychiatric social work as well as hospital based social work. I have experience with intimate partner violence support, refugee and immigrant work, and end-of-life care. I am passionate about helping people through periods of life transitions such as becoming a new parent, caregiving for an aging parent, and processing grief and bereavement. I am an open-minded ally with passion for social justice and healing.
I believe in the power of creativity to promote healing. I graduated from SIUE in May 2016 with a Master's in Art Therapy Counseling. I am a licensed counselor in the state of Illinois and Missouri as well as a Registered Art Therapist and Registered Play Therapist. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor. I love using creative techniques to help people grow and solve problems.
I got my masters in 2021 and have since been working in mental health utilizing CBT, TF-CBT. I have worked with children and adults. In 2024 I got trained in EMDR.
My name is Teerah, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma work with adolescents, teens, and young adults. I have worked with clients of all ages and believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can finally stop filtering yourself. I’m very down to earth, easy to talk to, and genuinely believe nothing is “too much” to bring into session. Whether you are dealing with trauma, anxiety, relationship stress, or just feeling emotionally stuck, my goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and a little less alone in it all.
