Mental health support in Las Vegas goes beyond one-size-fits-all approaches. Headway's network of 309 empowering providers offers flexible, in-person and virtual sessions designed to meet you where you are with warmth, acceptance, and genuine understanding.
I'm an LCSW with expertise in brain and behavior and additional specialty in addiction
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado, Nevada, and Massachusetts, and have been practicing therapy professionally for over 15 years. Throughout my career, I have been privileged to support many different communities and I bring the skills and knowledge I've learned along the way into the work I do with my clients.
I focus on Sex Therapy, Trauma, Anxiety, Relationship Issues, Personal Growth and Development, Men's Issues, and Existential Issues. I utilize several approaches, including: Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Somatic Therapy.
Dr. Nathaniel Woods, a Clinical Psychologist with 20 years of experience, specializes in mental health care. With a decade of executive leadership in California and Nevada, his practice, Skye Behavioral Health, offers innovative care for ADHD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression.
I approach therapy as a collaborator. My method is client-centered and humanistic. I aim to accompany my clients in achieving the goals brought into the therapeutic environment with openness, empathy, and compassion. Creating goals in small steps is vital for progress and change. Identifying insecure attachment and dysfunctional patterns will lead to lasting change. My clients can learn to recognize unhealthy cycles and gain a deeper understanding of their attachment styles.
Currently, I do not provide therapy for couples or minors.
Hello, I’m Dr. Andrew Buchanan, a licensed clinical psychologist in Nevada. I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University in 2021 and became licensed to practice independently in Nevada in 2025.
I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for adults facing a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and other serious mental illnesses. I also specialize in cognitive rehabilitation and remediation for individuals experiencing cognitive changes related to brain injury, developmental disorders, or psychotic disorders.
My professional experience includes providing psychological services in nonprofit mental health agencies, county behavioral health programs, and state-operated forensic facilities. In addition to psychotherapy, I offer psychological and neurocognitive evaluations when appropriate.
I also enjoy working with caregivers who are experiencing stress or burnout related to their caregiving duties. Supporting those who dedicate themselves to caring for others is an important part of my practice.
Therapy with me is a conversation, not a lecture. I’m direct, a little sarcastic, and I use humor to make the hard stuff easier to talk about. I believe in meeting you where you are—whether you’re navigating a major life transition, working through past trauma, or just trying to figure out why everything feels overwhelming. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and maybe even laugh a little along the way.

Headway makes it easier to connect with affirming therapists who understand your identity — from finding the right therapist, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding an LGBTQIA+-affirming therapist in Las Vegas starts with getting clear on what you need. Whether you're looking for support with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, gender identity, or navigating coming out, the right provider should have direct experience with LGBTQIA+ mental health care. Look for a licensed therapist (such as an LCSW, LPC, or psychologist) or psychiatrist who explicitly identifies as affirming in their bio — not just someone who lists it as a checkbox.
Las Vegas has a broad range of mental health providers, but finding one who is both affirming and available can take time with legacy directories. Narrowing your search by what matters most — like a provider's specialty, approach, whether they offer virtual or in-person sessions, and their availability — can make the process faster. Reading a provider's full bio before booking gives you a sense of their style and whether they're likely to be a good match.
Therapy in Las Vegas can be expensive without insurance, but using your in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before you book, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans. Enter your insurance details on Headway to confirm what coverage is available in Las Vegas and to see your estimated session costs.
