Hi, I’m Kim! I am an experienced therapist and school social worker whose goal is for you to feel free to explore difficult emotions, life and mental health challenges in a safe, and judgement-free space. I bring a compassionate, validating, and empowering approach to every session. I will help you and/or your child transcend the challenges you are facing in your life.
I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in Dance and Movement Psychotherapy, holding a Master’s Degree in Creative Arts Therapy from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University. With nearly two decades of rich and varied experience, I've navigated multiple settings, including inpatient and outpatient programs, telehealth, and diverse educational environments, serving families, couples, children, adults, and adolescents. My therapeutic approach encompasses a spectrum of modalities, from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy to the creative realms of Dance Movement Therapy. Driven by empathy, respect, and holistic care, my therapeutic philosophy centers on recognizing the innate healing abilities within each person
I am a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s story and strengths.
I integrate evidence-based practices—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Family Systems approaches—with a culturally responsive and trauma-informed lens. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, gain clarity, and move toward lasting change.
I work with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship or family conflict, grief, identity transitions, and the effects of trauma. I also have extensive experience supporting people from diverse cultural and family backgrounds who are balancing multiple roles, expectations, and life transitions.
Clients often describe me as compassionate, down-to-earth, and empowering. Together, we’ll focus on uncovering your resilience, improving communication and connection, and finding practical strategies for growth and healing—so you can live with greater confidence, balance, and purpose.
I’m deeply committed to providing nonjudgmental, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care. I understand that mental health isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I take the time to listen, learn, and adapt to what works best for you.
I don’t expect perfection — I expect real people, with real experiences, showing up as they are. I bring not only clinical expertise but also lived understanding of how layered and complex healing can be. You’ll never have to shrink or code-switch in my care — your story, identity, and truth are all welcome here.
I am a licensed therapist with a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Slippery Rock University and an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from Liberty University. With over 14 years of experience in outpatient therapy and more than 5 years of supervising counseling interns and master’s-level clinicians, I bring both clinical expertise and a strong commitment to supporting fellow professionals in the field.
I have received specialized training in grief treatment using current evidence-based approaches across the lifespan, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). My clinical experience spans a wide range of ages—from toddlers as young as 2 to individuals in their 80s—and I genuinely enjoy working with all age groups.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, but I believe it’s a powerful and courageous first step toward healing. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered on your journey toward wellness.
Tired of being told 'Wow, you're so self-aware?'
What other people regard as a gift may actually feel like a curse. When you have the insight and awareness of your emotions, thoughts, or behaviors, but can't seem to figure out why your life still feel messy or chaotic, it can be discouraging and frustrating.
As a licensed professional counselor, I believe that therapy is a way to help bring some order to that internal chaos. With a focus in eating disorders, body image, and self-esteem, I believe there is no 'sick enough'. If you feel like you need help, I'm here for you.
I also have experience in treating anxiety, relationship concerns, trauma, depression, life transitions, and harm reduction.
Some people experience fear that holds them back. Others are so weighed down by the complexities of life that it feels like there is not enough energy to do anything. Over time, they shift further and further away from the person that they know they can be, but they feel like they’ve already tried everything and feel stuck. If you can resonate, the bravest thing you can do is reach out. We all have core beliefs that define how we see ourselves and the world. These beliefs have huge implications for our emotional, behavioral, and relational patterns. Some are positive and helpful, and others are fear-based and limiting.
I help people gain awareness of their limiting core beliefs so they can actively reframe them, if necessary, into more beneficial and realistic beliefs. Together, we can explore the internal and external factors that impact not only your beliefs, but the feelings, behaviors, and relationships associated with those beliefs.
I collaborate with individuals, couples, and families, and together, we work to accomplish the changes they desperately want to make. If you are ready for a change, know I will be right by your side as you reclaim joy, face your fears, and begin to feel at peace with yourself again (or maybe even for the first time).
