My name is Mark Cox. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I like how my Grandchildren think of my work; "he helps people". I have been trying to do just that in this field for the past 22 years and in Christian ministry for 16 years before that. I like to work with Couples to find ways to enrich their relationship and with individuals to help them navigate difficult seasons of their life they might be experiencing. This is a telehealth practice. As a personal choice, the use of narcotics or other controlled (DEA) meds are minimal, if any. I've been a psych nurse practitioner for at least 14yrs. I believe in managing conditions with psychiatric and non-psychiatric treatment modalities that are evidence based. The use of the least amount of meds, at lower doses that does the healing of symptoms, is an active process involving the client and based on the reported experiences. Safety is the core of my practice and my job is to help clients understand internal signals and how to prevent another crisis.
