Hi! My name is Monica McKee. I’m a passionate LMFT dedicated to helping couples, individuals, and first responder families navigate life’s challenges, heal from past wounds, and strengthen their relationships. Whether you're navigating relationship challenges, working through trauma, or seeking greater self-understanding, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and care.
I’ve been married for 25 years and understand that relationships can bring both joy and struggle. This personal experience, combined with my clinical training, allows me to approach couples work with empathy and practical insight. As the spouse of a first responder, I also have a deep appreciation for the unique stressors first responder families face and am honored to support them in therapy. I speak conversational Spanish and enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds.
I specialize in helping couples and families reconnect and heal through an attachment-based approach, exploring how early relationships influence the ways we love, trust, and communicate. I’m trained in EMDR and I'm a Gottman Method Couples Level 2 practitioner, an evidence-based approach that helps couples improve communication, deepen emotional connection, and rebuild trust.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Clinical Psychology from Pennsylvania State University in 2010, and my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University in 2023, with a focus on trauma.
I strive to provide an open and encouraging place for my clients to explore the challenges in their daily lives. I look forward to serving those who are searching for ways to empower themselves. Counseling is journey of self discovery. Through it you can learn the skills to face life’s challenges and I’m here to help you.
Hi, I’m Dr. Aminah Abdikadir, DNP, PMHNP-BC. I’ve spent nearly a decade helping individuals improve their mental health through inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth care. I believe in a holistic approach that looks at the whole person mind, body, and environment to create lasting change. My style is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel balanced and empowered as you navigate life’s challenges.
I graduated with my Masters in counseling in 2007. I believe we all need to validation and empathy in order to begin to make changes that last. I like to help women overcome loneliness, anxiety, depression, family troubles, divorce, kid challenges, etc but I also help men navigate these things too! I've worked with teenagers all the way to past retirement. I help individuals as well as couples and families. I believe real change is possible with some insight, willingness, and a little bit of tell me I'm not crazy for thinking this!
I believe healing and growth happen best when people feel safe, accepted, and genuinely cared for. I love working with children, teens, and families, and I strive to create a warm, supportive space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves.
For children, I have advanced training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, which allows them to express feelings, work through challenges, and build confidence through the natural language of play. Often, children communicate much more through play than they can with words, and I enjoy helping them feel understood and supported in ways that fit their developmental needs.
