Coping with the death of a family member, friend, or partner requires specialized support. Headway's 6,254 licensed providers across Texas offer grief therapy, anticipatory grief counseling, and support groups to help Cedar Park residents work through complicated grief and unresolved loss.
I strive to empower clients to regain a sense of agency in their health and well‐being. With more than 30 years as a therapist, I understand that creating meaningful change can be both challenging and deeply rewarding. My role is to support you through that process with clarity, compassion, and tools that help you move toward the life you desire.
Lifelong curiosity is key to my work as a therapist, with five years of experience providing counseling support for individuals and families and over a decade as an educator. There is nothing I love more than learning about people and helping to provide space for them to express themselves authentically.
I hold so much respect for anyone seeking therapeutic support for themselves or a loved one. My own mental health journey inspired me to help others, so know that I have been where you are. I am so grateful someone was looking out for me and encouraging this kind of care when I needed it most. That support proved invaluable for me, which is why I am so passionate about working with individuals exploring therapy for the first time. Taking that first step is not always easy, but I firmly believe the effort and vulnerability you put into this work is rewarded with meaningful growth.
Since 2011, I have worked with women at all stages of pregnancy and motherhood, including those who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss or complications, birth trauma, a NICU stay and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders.
I am dedicated to providing support to parents and being a mom myself, I understand the joys and hardships!
I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin and I have a BS in Psychology from Texas State University.
I'm Brad and I'm a therapist in North Austin who specializes in treating PTSD, depression, and anxiety. My style has been described as compassionate, mindful, and relational. My primary modality is Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a structured intervention which treats PTSD by challenging unproductive beliefs generated by the traumatic event.
Professionally, I have spent a decade in education (five years as a classroom teacher and five years as a school counselor). This is my third year as a therapist outside of the school setting.
For my masters degree, I attended Texas State University in San Marcos, TX (Eat 'em up cats!). At Texas State, I completed my MA in Professional Counseling with two focuses: school counseling and clinical mental health.
As a former educator, the populations I support include adolescents, young adults, educators, parents/guardians, and caretakers.
I work with clients from all walks of life in navigating this chaotic world we find ourselves in. We often unintentionally rely on coping skills and beliefs about ourselves that reinforce feelings of sadness or worry rather than relieve them just to survive day to day. Through a warm, often humorous, and always open-minded person centered approach, I am here to help you examine what does and does not serve you to create or find new ways to approach life so that you can start thriving rather than surviving.
Hi, I'm Amber Martinez, licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) specializing in psychotherapy. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, self-injurious behaviors, trauma, and eating disorders. I offer both in-person sessions and virtual therapy for clients throughout Texas.
