Coping with the death of a family member, friend, or partner requires specialized support. Headway's 6,254 licensed providers across Texas offer grief therapy, anticipatory grief counseling, and support groups to help Cedar Park residents work through complicated grief and unresolved loss.
Hi! My name is Nicole. I earned my Masters in Counseling from Northwestern University, where I received training in psychodynamic theory. I have been working in the private practice setting for 7 years, primarily working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, existential crisis, and life transition.
After 15 years in tech marketing, I went to the University of Texas at Arlington to earn my Master's in Social Work. Upon graduation, I worked toward my clinical license at a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Program. Here, I worked with clients with severe mental health problems to find stability and gain the tools necessary to find success in life after program. This setting allowed me to work across the full spectrum of mental health issues, specifically with mood and personality disorders, trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, psychosis, and other high-acuity issues.
I give you a space to explore, feel, question, cry, scream, cuss, fall apart, and fall together. I like wrestling with whatever it is that is coming up in your heart or mind. I am open minded and care about the burdens you carry around everyday. It's hard work to grow yourself and we can work together to create and achieve your goals. I believe your story matters and holds a lot of power in shaping your life.
I am a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor, perpetually curious about your stories and perspectives. I specialize in treating individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict, and have a history of relational trauma. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, body positive, trauma sensitive, culturally sensitive, sex-positive, and mindful of neurodivergencies and abilities.
Storms of life come to us in all kinds of ways. Like an unexpected Texas hail storm pounding us with stress and shattering our lives; or a tornado of change uprooting all that was once familiar; or perhaps a seemingly small gust of difficulty which swirls our lives around until we no longer have a sense of direction. We are in uncertain times which often creates waves of doubt and amplifies our fears as we question the future. Yet in the midst of the chaos there can be a sense of calm. I’ve been honored to walk the path of healing with those struggling in addiction, trauma, grief, loss and relationship challenges. With a background in psychology as well as recreation, I use proven methods of Counseling to empower strength in discovering a sense of purpose through clearing of the mind, restoration of the body and joy in the spirit. It takes courage to change and face the storms of life. I look forward to joining you in your journey and helping you turn the tides of your storm into hope and healing.
I stem from a solution based theory base but am also very eclectic in my approach. I offer virtual and in- person sessions where clients are encouraged to express themselves freely without fear of rejection or judgement.

I believe everyone has the capacity to heal. My own therapy helped me to trust in myself and others and I strive to build this trust with you.
My communication style is warm and direct as I first hear your story and then help you slow down. Together we’ll work to understand your emotions.
