I have more than 25 years of experience working in the criminal justice, mental health, substance use and addiction fields. I have experience treating children, adolescents, and adults, dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal conflict and co-occurring conditions including addictions.

I'm Dr. Ben Osevwe, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 22 years of experience in mental health care, including over 4.5 years as a PMHNP. I founded Solid Foundation Psychiatry with one mission in mind: to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized psychiatric care that empowers individuals to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

I work with adolescents and adults ages 12 through 90, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy. I believe that effective mental health treatment goes beyond prescribing medication. Every visit is an opportunity to listen, educate, collaborate, and develop a treatment plan that reflects your unique goals, values, and life circumstances.

My clinical interests include ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, trauma and PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), insomnia, mood disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. I provide both in-person psychiatric care in Pearland, Texas, serving the greater Houston area, and telepsychiatry to patients in states where I am licensed.

I combine evidence-based psychiatric care with compassionate listening, creating personalized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs. Vanessa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Dallas, TX. Licensed in Texas, Virginia and Florida. My journey to becoming a psychiatric mental health provider originated from the need to provide psychiatric mental health services to all persons. I worked in an inpatient psychiatric setting for five years and decided to advance my career by obtaining my master’s degree in nursing - psychiatry.
