Hi! My name is Marisa, I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Substance Use Disorder Professional in the State of Washington. I started working as a Substance Abuse Counselor in 2010 with Adolescents and discovered that mental health often intersected. I decided to attend graduate school at the University of Denver for my Master's in Social Work with a concentration in Family Systems.
Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by life’s challenges? I offer a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where you can feel heard, safe, and supported. With over 11 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals facing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, and major life transitions.
Outside of therapy, I find joy in my faith, time with family and friends, attending church, and camping. As a former foster parent and adoptive mom, I bring deep empathy and lived experience into my work with families and individuals navigating complex emotional landscapes.
My practice of clinical psychology is rooted in compassion, cultural humility, and a steadfast commitment to fostering holistic well-being. I am excited about the continued journey of learning, growth, and impact that lies ahead, as I navigate the dynamic landscape of clinical psychology with dedication, curiosity, and an unwavering passion for making a difference in the lives of others.
