If you're navigating a life transition, or dealing with ADHD, OCD, anxiety, or depression, I'd love to work with you. I'm currently accepting older teens and adults for telehealth appointments, and I bring a wide range of evidence-based tools to our work together.
A little about my background: I served in the US Army before earning my Bachelor's and Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Since then, I've worked in psychiatric hospitals, residential care, and outpatient settings. I take my work seriously, but also try to keep things light-hearted when necessary. I'm pretty laid back, and I think that comes through pretty quickly once we start talking. I have also learned to cope and coexist ADHD, have experienced major depressive episodes, and overcome struggles with OCD.
I am a psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin–Superior. My path into this work grew from a deep interest in healing, self-awareness, and helping people reconnect with themselves and others. I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and families around anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, religious trauma, spiritual concerns, and psychedelic integration.
I’m Anushka Fernando, LPC, licensed in Wisconsin, Texas, and Colorado. I help individuals and couples with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns, offering both online therapy and in-person sessions. My approach combines evidence-based strategies with mindfulness and compassion. I have a special passion for supporting immigrants and first-generation clients in balancing cultural values with personal growth.
Hi, I'm so happy you found me! I'm Roxann, owner/psychotherapist at Birch Grove Family Therapy. I have a master's degree in social work (MSW) from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Wisconsin. I also completed a predoctoral fellowship in Infant, Early Childhood, and Family Mental Health with the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Working as a Clinical Social Worker in a psychiatric inpatient hospital, and as a therapist for an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), has shown me the importance of care continuity, I offer support as you, or your loved one, transition from intensive treatment to outpatient care. I focus on maintaining progress, strengthening coping skills, and building lasting stability in everyday life.
As a parent myself, and a former Parent Educator, I also have a special passion for working with infants, young children, and families navigating early attachment, teaching emotional regulation, supporting healthy development and navigating parent-child relationship concerns.
Through the unique lens of multiple international and domestic cultures Sara has learned to see the patterns of the human experience. Dr. J credits her amazing education, advisors, supervisors, colleagues and clients for supporting the concretization of her Open Space approach. Which highlights meeting each client where they are in their life as a sacred space, a space of possibility.
The therapeutic process is one of endless discovery and self-empowerment. Seeking out help is a valiant first step in this personal journey to befriend yourself. Befriending yourself greatly opens the internal space to invite others in so that we might have fuller, richer, and more wholesome relationships with those we love and those we’ve yet to meet. If you seek to reconnect, or connect more deeply, with your inherent goodness, then please reach out. I am deeply excited by the prospect of being able to share this experience with you.
I’m a licensed therapist with a background in social work, and I’ve worked in both clinical and community settings supporting people through anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and moments where things just feel “off.” Whether you’re navigating stress, relationship challenges, burnout, or a deeper sense of feeling stuck, I’m here to help you make sense of it and move forward.
My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and tailored to you. I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods along—I’ll actively engage with you, offer insight, and help you connect patterns so you can create real, lasting change. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable being fully yourself, while also gently challenging what’s no longer working.
I also specialize in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) through a partnership with Journey Clinical, working alongside medical providers who prescribe and monitor treatment. This can be a powerful option for those who feel stuck in traditional approaches or are looking for a deeper level of healing and perspective.
I work with adults from all walks of life who are ready to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and feel more grounded and aligned in their day-to-day lives.
I serve a broad population of clients coping with crisis, trauma, faith-based issues, relationship and marital issues, substance use and addictions, anger management and emotional dysregulation, career decisions, self-esteem and self-efficacy skill development, and other challenges clients are facing.
My philosophy is meeting clients where they are, without bias or judgment. I believe the client is the expert in their own life, and I am here to walk beside, providing the tools and techniques to support finding solutions and healing. I use an integrative theoretical approach to tailor services to meet the clients' needs. I work with clients from a holistic approach.
I have a Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision, a Master's in Professional Counseling, a Masters in Health Care Administration, and a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. I am licensed in Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Nurse.
Hello! I'm a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner serving individuals of all ages throughout Wisconsin.
