As a therapist, my role is to walk alongside as you discover your strengths, navigate challenges, and step into the version you want to become. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-focused, and tailored to each individual. I focus on helping you develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a stronger connection to your values.
Hello! I'm a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner serving individuals of all ages throughout Wisconsin. I believe mental health care should feel approachable, supportive, and free from judgment. Whether you're seeking help for the first time or returning to care, my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself and discussing what's on your mind.
Hi, I'm Alex! My path into this work began in early childhood development, where I learned just how much our earliest relationships and experiences shape the way we move through the world as adults. That foundation still informs everything I do; I'm endlessly curious about the "why" behind how we feel and behave, and I hold that curiosity with warmth and zero judgment.
Outside of my practice you'll usually find me behind a camera. Photography taught me to slow down and pay attention to small, beautiful details, and to appreciate that the same scene can look completely different depending on where you're standing (a lesson that I find turns out to be pretty useful in therapy as well). I love being out in nature whenever I can and at home I share my space with a cuddly cat who supervises most of my day.
Welcome. I am a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience supporting both children and adults. I primarily work with individuals struggling with sadness, guilt, loss, loneliness, panic, overthinking, shame, ruminating thoughts, family issues, trauma, and worry. Having worked as a Grief Counselor in my previous role, I helped individuals navigate life while adjusting to their grief by sitting with people as they share their deepest thoughts and emotions. I offer an inclusive space where clients can feel safe, respected, and seen.
Starting therapy takes courage, and I want you to know that you do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, anxious, discouraged, or simply tired of carrying everything on your own. Wherever you are in your process, my goal is to meet you there with warmth, curiosity, and respect.
I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, ADHD, grief, relationship challenges, substance use, eating concerns, stress, sleep difficulties, mood changes, and major life transitions. I believe that healing is not about becoming a different person. It is about reconnecting with yourself, understanding your patterns, and building the tools to move through life with more confidence, clarity, and self-compassion.
In our work together, you can expect a supportive space where you feel heard, encouraged, and gently challenged when needed. I bring both compassion and practical guidance to therapy, helping you better understand what is keeping you stuck while also creating realistic steps toward change.
Great to meet you!
As your therapist I strive to create a warm, safe, engaging space where we can explore your strengths and build a do-able plan to help get you through the tough spots. My primary goal is to collaborate with you and build a strong working relationship to best help you meet your goals. I am licensed to practice as a Therapist in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or out of balance in your life or relationships? Maybe anxiety, depression, stress, or the demands of daily life have started to feel heavier than they once did. Whether you are navigating personal challenges, relationship difficulties, parenting stress, or emotional exhaustion, therapy can offer a space to slow down, feel supported, and begin moving forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My passion is helping people create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. I take a holistic, compassionate approach to therapy while drawing from evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. I believe progress is not one-size-fits-all, and I work to create a therapeutic experience that is thoughtful, flexible, and responsive to the individual sitting in front of me.
I enjoy working with adults, couples, families, children, and adolescents across a range of concerns. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, and build the tools needed to navigate life more effectively.
I’m a licensed psychologist with more than three decades of experience in psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and trauma-informed care. My background includes extensive work with adults, adolescents, and children across private practice, medical settings, and the VA’s PTSD clinic, where I provided both treatment and disability evaluations. I completed my doctorate at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in an APA-approved Counseling Psychology program and an APA-accredited internship with broad training in assessment, psychotherapy, and multidisciplinary collaboration. I specialize in trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, dissociation, family-of-origin issues, and helping people untangle long-standing patterns that keep them stuck. My style is warm, open-minded, and direct, meeting people right where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be.
Finding light in the darkest moments, and hope when it feels lost. For 25 years, Stacey has helped people rewrite their stories, move through pain, and reclaim their sense of self. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Stacey specializes in guiding individuals and couples through depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, relationship and family strain and even moments of deep hopelessness. Outside the therapy room, you’ll find her thrifting for hidden gems, traveling, cheering on her favorite sport teams or playing games—because joy and play are powerful parts of healing, too.

I am an older adult with a counseling degree based on several decades of life experiences. I understand you because I have probably 'been there' in my own life before. I accurately empathize with you and give you treatment pathways that worked for me. I accept all types of life's problems and because I have gone through divorce and the loss of a child, I specialize in grief counseling. I have a specialty in foster amd adoption therapy. I realize that counseling is hard work on the part of the client, and as your therapist I commit to helping you seek deliverance of the past and cheer you on to the future.
I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for your unique story. I work with people across all stages of life who are navigating the effects of trauma, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or feeling disconnected from themselves. My goal is to help you rebuild safety, rediscover connection, and move toward a more grounded, authentic sense of self. Alongside traditional therapy, I also offer Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, which can provide a meaningful, body-centered way to explore healing and self-awareness.
