Thank you for taking a moment to view my profile. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I serve the adult and geriatric population. I am a proud graduate of both the University of Georgia Graduate School and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
I am a Clinical Social Worker providing tele-health psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, and seniors across Alabama and Florida. My goal is to provide the evidence-based treatment, education, and encouragement necessary for you to achieve a more purposeful and fulfilling life.
I work with individual adults who need more help with overcoming mental health challenges. I'm a licensed therapist and have experience treating depression, anxiety, anger, interpersonal issues, OCD, grief/loss and panic disorder. “Warm, practical, and empowering therapy to help you move beyond anxiety and into lasting change.”
Finding the right therapist matters. I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood. My style is conversational, collaborative, and direct, balancing warmth with honesty and practical feedback. I work especially well with individuals impacted by trauma, chronic stress, and moral injury arising from high-responsibility environments, including veterans, first responders, and medical professionals. Many appear highly functional outwardly while privately struggling with anxiety, exhaustion, disrupted sleep, or feeling disconnected from themselves, others, or the lives they once recognized.
I have been a SW for 29 years. I received my bachelors of social work from Southern University and A&M College and my masters of social work from Southern at New Orleans. As a SW, at DCFS/CW, I have served as in Investigations, Foster Care, Family Service, Adoption, and as a Child Welfare Supervisor, CW Trainer, and a CW Manager. PRN work included working in MH/SA, hospitals, hospice and school SW. I am a TBRI Pract. & adoption competent. I help people who seek help! I retired from DCFS on 01/21/2026. Please see link below on the impact I’ve made on people across the state and allow me to help you too. Please message me for an appointment. Thank you.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Searching for therapists in Huntsville starts with knowing what kind of support fits your needs. Therapists may focus on concerns like anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, stress, or major life changes. As you compare Huntsville therapists, look for someone whose listed specialties and approach match what you want to address. Provider bios can help you understand whether a therapist uses approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, or skills-based support.
Huntsville has therapy options across nearby areas like Downtown, Whitesburg, Madison, and surrounding communities, with both in-person and virtual appointments available. Virtual therapy can add more choice if office location, commute time, or appointment timing matters. As you narrow your search, review whether each therapist is accepting new clients, has availability that fits your schedule, and offers a free phone consultation. Reading profiles before you book can also show how a therapist describes their style, session structure, and experience with concerns like yours.
Therapy in Huntsville can be a significant investment without insurance, and using in-network coverage is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs. Headway helps you find therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, see estimated out-of-pocket costs before booking, and choose between virtual and in-person care. You can compare therapist profiles, review availability, and book directly when you’re ready.
