Hi, I am Annie, a licensed therapist (LMFT) and certified perinatal mental health specialist (PMH-C) based in Santa Barbara. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating some of life's most demanding seasons — from pregnancy and postpartum to birth trauma, early parenthood, life transitions, and healing from trauma. I completed my clinical training at UCSF's Infant Parent Program and bring specialized expertise in the parent-child relationship and early childhood alongside my broader work with adults. I am also a mom of two, which means I bring both clinical depth and real lived experience to this work.
Navigating the ups and downs of life can be overwhelming, confusing and downright exhausting. Especially if going at it alone. If you’re here, there is most likely a part of you that is wanting more than just to survive life, but to genuinely enjoy the role you have in it. I am a Licensed Therapist who believes in the inherent ability of each person to connect with their authentic selves to live a more attuned and genuine life.
I have been working in the therapy field for the last 6 years, working with a variety of clients from various identities and backgrounds. My work often focuses on supporting individuals recovering from childhood trauma, navigating relationship and identity issues, dealing with anxiety and depression, sitting with self-critical or self-hating views of themselves, feeling disempowered within systems of oppression, and discovering (or rediscovering) the parts of themselves they have lost. I work with clients to help increase their awareness and understanding, develop and gain skills to make lasting change, and overall honor and become intentional with their emotional experience.
I’d be honored to take this journey alongside you.
I'm a therapist offering in-person sessions in the Thousand Oaks area of Southern California, and telehealth to folks throughout California. I decided to become a therapist after many years of working in corporate America, and I have a Master's in Clinical Psychology and LMFT license.
I'm a licensed psychotherapist with 34 years of experience. I do my best to meet you "where you are" and to offer compassionate presence as you progress through your personal process of self-discovery, self-identification, and evolution.
I'm honored to be part of your journey of transformation. I approach sessions in collaboration, as you learn to free yourself from judgment, criticism, and pain; to change negative perceptions that do not serve; and to experience more ease and peace in life.
I’m someone who truly listens and strives to meet each person exactly where they are. My style is adaptive, reflective, and flexible. I bring authenticity, compassion, and a good sense of humor into my work because I believe that laughter and honesty can be just as healing as insight. I was inspired to become a therapist by my own desire for the kind of support I would have wanted, and I aim to offer that same understanding and care to my clients. People often describe me as warm, genuine, and empowering. I am someone who helps them feel deeply heard and supported while encouraging growth in meaningful ways.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker and Army veteran who’s passionate about helping people reconnect with their sense of purpose, strength, and authenticity. My background in depth psychology means I approach therapy with curiosity about both the conscious and unconscious parts of who we are through the stories, dreams, and emotions that shape our inner world. I aim to create a space where healing feels human and not clinical. You don’t have to have the right words; you just have to show up.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals navigate trauma, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I’ve worked in community mental health, school systems, and private practice, and I’m deeply committed to providing culturally affirming care that honors the full complexity of who you are.
