My name is Gerardo Salinas. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social worker and therapist for more than 13 years. I have worked with adults, youth, and families from varied life experiences. I enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds.
My goal is to provide a space that feels warm, non-judgmental and more importantly helpful. I work with adults, adolescents and adults who are experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and many of the other effects and challenges.
Life can feel overwhelming — thoughts that won't quiet down, family tension that keeps building, or past experiences continue to dictate your present days. Whether you're an individual carrying something heavy, a couple trying to find your way back to each other, or a family navigating a moment that feels too big to face alone, you don't have to keep pushing through without support. I provide a safe space where your culture, your story, and your language are deeply valued. I bring a grounded, tenacious approach to my clinical work utilizing specialized, evidence- based tools to help with processing heavy burdens. Healing is possible and it can start here, so let's walk this path together.
I entered into this field to help individuals to learn, grow and heal at their own pace. I fundamentally believe that we are the experts of ourselves and our experiences. My role through my education, learning and experience is to support clients’ in unlocking their awareness of patterns to increase the clients’ ability to access the tools within them to facilitate their learning, growth and healing through a collaborative process.
As a Black/African American woman, I am passionate about working with people of color (especially people of color who identify as LGBTIA+) in destigmatizing mental health in our communities and identifying how systemic racism/systemic oppression affect our mental health.
My strengths as a therapist are rooted in fifteen years of experience working in the field as a mental health clinician in a variety of settings. I have supported individual’s ability to access their inherent tools to overcome struggles connected to trauma, grief & loss, depression and general anxiety. Over the course of my experience I have developed skills in providing therapy to underrepresented, underserviced families, children, individuals, and couples. I also have a wealth of experience supporting youth involved in the juvenile justice system, oppositional teens, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
My name is Sara. I have been working in the field for over 7 years. I am currently finishing up my PhD in Mindful Andrological practices. I consider myself a very down-to-earth, gentle, and holistic person.
I view therapy as a collaborative process rooted in curiosity, compassion, and trust. Since entering the mental health field in 2021, I have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, relationship/familial challenges, and life transitions, and I presently work primarily with adolescents and adults. I earned my Bachelor's degree in psychology from University of California, Los Angeles in 2018, and my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sonoma State University in 2023.
