Hi, I’m Dr. Lizeth Moreno. I am a first-generation Salvadoran Latina who provides therapy for individuals seeking personal growth, healing, and a deeper understanding of themselves across various stages of life. My work focuses on creating a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and emotionally safe. I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult, and I strive to provide a space where you can explore your experiences, develop insight, and work toward meaningful change. My goal is to help clients build greater self-awareness and strengthen coping strategies.
I believe people carry far more strength, clarity, and resilience than they often realize. My role is to help you understand the emotional patterns and internal narratives that shape your experience, so you can move through life with greater freedom and self‐trust. I’m engaged, attuned, and honest in the room — offering reflection, insight, and steady collaboration as we explore what’s happening beneath the surface. We work at a pace that feels grounded for you, creating space for real change to germinate.
I am a highly skilled therapist with a strong focus on trauma therapy, substance abuse, and mental health. I hold dual licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and as an Associate Clinical Counselor. My educational background includes a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from William Jessup University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development from California State University, Chico.
For the past six years, I have been providing therapy to individuals as part of my clinical training as a clinical psychologist. I have had the privilege of supporting people through challenges related to substance use, codependency, anxiety, depression, trauma, and struggles with self-confidence and self-esteem. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow, heal, and reconnect with themselves.
I am a dedicated mental health professional who supports children and adults through life’s challenges. I currently provide individual therapy only and do not offer couples counseling. My background in behavioral health and social services, along with hands-on community experience, has shaped my practical, compassionate, and solution-focused approach.
I have worked with individuals involved in the justice system, people living with serious mental illness, children in foster care, and families navigating behavioral or developmental concerns. My experience includes case management, crisis support, employment readiness, behavioral coaching, and coordinating care with medical providers, mental health facilities, and community programs to ensure consistent, long-term support.
I help clients facing depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, behavioral challenges in children and teens, parenting and co-parenting concerns, and reintegration after legal involvement. My approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered. I believe everyone has resilience and the ability to grow with the right support.
My style is warm, honest, and structured. I value accountability while always leading with empathy and respect. I focus on building coping skills, improving communication, setting clear goals, and developing practical strategies that support emotional balance and independence.
I have a bachelors in religious studies from the University of Kentucky. I grew up in Kentucky and moved to California to train in marital and family therapy. I am queer affirming and culturally-sensitive. I am sex-worker positive.
I'm not just your therapist — I'm a mama who has been in the trenches too. After navigating my own postpartum experience and the heartbreak of pregnancy loss, I found my purpose: walking alongside mothers and families during some of life's most tender and transforming moments. Raising my amazing autistic son has also deepened my understanding of what it means to parent with love, resilience, and a whole lot of grace.
I believe healing happens when you feel truly seen — not judged, not rushed, just held. My approach is rooted in authenticity and compassion, creating a space where your full story is welcome. Whether you are struggling with postpartum depression, anxiety, grief, or the emotional weight of a special needs diagnosis, you do not have to carry it alone.
This work is personal to me. And that's exactly why I show up the way I do.
Welcome to the therapeutic journey.
I work with clients who are experiencing chronic stress, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, self-sabotage, postpartum, and relationship challenges.
I specialize in helping individuals navigate the deep and often hidden impacts of complex trauma — the kind that comes from chronic, long-term experiences such as childhood abuse, unhealthy relationships, illness, and adversity.
My work is grounded in compassion, safety, and collaboration. I meet each client exactly where they are on their healing journey. My work is guided by the core belief that you are worthy and deserve to thrive emotionally, mentally, and relationally.
Through mindful exploration and specialized care, we will work together to create meaningful, lasting change.
