I received my master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology, where my previous career in cancer research led me to a focus on health psychology and psychosocial oncology. In addition to addressing chronic health issues such as cancer, I specialize in life transitions and adjustment difficulties, identity issues, anxiety, depression, challenges related to aging, and the many forms of grief and loss.

Hello! Nice to meet you! I am a board-certified, Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience. I specialize in child/teen therapy and improving family communication. I enjoy helping people look at challenges in different ways. I am a member of a certified therapy dog team with my Corgi, Olive. I am also a Global Career Development Facilitator and enjoy coaching people through transitions.

I'm Caitlin! Therapist, art therapist, and someone who knows what it's like to carry a lot. Anxiety, self-doubt, patterns inherited from people who came before you, a creative inner world that doesn't always fit neatly into everyday life. I didn't just study this, I've lived it.

I have experience working with clients across the life-span on a number of issues including life transitions, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ concerns, etc. I specialize in grief/loss and suicidality as these are topics that I feel often get pushed to the side. I especially enjoy working with teens and folks in the LGBTQ+ community.

Finding mental health care can be daunting. Often individuals come to me confused about what they are feeling, why they are feeling that way, and how to make change. This process can be even more confusing if you come from a marginalized community or have felt othered in ways that make you question your intuition. I want to take the time and care necessary to get to the heart of what makes you who you are. The details of what you are experiencing matter. The only way I can help is if I truly understand.

A little bit about me:

I moved to Denver in the summer of 2020 having spent most of my life as a northern Californian.

My earlier experiences working in behavioral research on HIV prevention led me to a career in nursing. I attended the University of CA - San Francisco where I finished my master’s degree in nursing in 2008. I trained both as an adult primary care nurse practitioner and also as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, which was particularly helpful when starting my first nursing job in a very busy ED in Washington DC. There I found myself gravitating towards psychiatric care and decided to practice mental health care exclusively.

Since that time I have worked in mental health in various roles and settings, both inpatient and outpatient, in high acuity contexts as well as in primary care and prevention. I gained experience working with medically complicated/fragile patients and those with co-occurring substance use disorders. I've provided integrated behavioral health care to adult outpatients attending primary care clinics in CA, working closely with MDs, NPs and others, and across various specialties, in order to increase utilization and improve outcomes in behavioral health care. This work led me to my current interest in caring for healthcare providers themselves, whose mental health can often go overlooked.

Cameron-K Garrett, PMHCNS-BC is a highly experienced provider in Psychiatric Medication Evaluation and Management with more than two decades of practice in diverse patient populations and clinical settings. She provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management for individual's navigating a wide range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use thought disorders, andadjustment challenges. Cameron’s approach is integrative and deeply collaborative—she values building strong therapeutic relationships where patients feel supported, understood, and empowered.

By tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals, she creates a safe and encouraging environment that fosters growth and long-term wellness.Throughout her career, Cameron has worked in private practice, academic medicine at the CU, and hospital-based settings, where she has not only delivered direct care but also supervised clinical teams.

Kim Colna, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience providing evidence-based mental health care. She specializes in working with pediatrics and adults supporting clients through a wide range of challenges including anxiety, OCD, ADHD, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, and other mood and thought disorders.

Kim is experienced in providing treatment in a variety of settings to include hospitals, inpatient psychiatry, outpatient, residential, nursing homes, schools, and homes. She is affiliated with CU and the Pediatric Mental Health Institute at Childrens Hospital Colorado where she continues to work on a part-time basis on the Emergency/Consultative service.

Mari mari, hola I’m Bri, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado offering somatic, relational, and trauma informed therapy. I work with teens and adults navigating complex trauma, grief, neurodivergence, identity, relationships, burnout, self worth, chronic illness, and chronic or recurring experiences of suicidality, with attention to how family, culture, and larger systems shape lived experience. My work is grounded in body based and relational approaches that hold the ways you have had to adapt to survive, while making space for who you are and what you want for yourself.

Two personal virtues I value greatly are learning and curiosity. I will bring these two attitudes to the therapy room and with you to ensure that we develop concepts and theory that fits your experiences. I am currently completing my PhD in Counselor Education with my dissertation focusing on neuroscience-informed treatment. Our internal signals are as powerful as our external reactions. Together, we can use these techniques to quantify treatment!
