My passion lies in helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, find emotional balance, and achieve lasting wellness through compassionate, evidence-based care. I provide treatment for adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, and other mental health concerns. My approach is holistic and collaborative, focusing on the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard.

I bring eight years of prior experience as an adult and pediatric emergency room nurse. My background in acute care has given me a strong foundation in crisis intervention, compassionate listening, and evidence-based clinical judgment.

I was born in Los Angeles, spent 15 years living in Hawaii, and now reside in Miami, Florida. My diverse life experiences — including traveling to 23 countries — have shaped my cultural awareness and deep respect for the unique perspectives of every individual I serve.

I was born and raised in Montana and have a genuine passion for nature and the outdoors. I received my Bachelors in Psychology at Montana State University in 2001. I then pursued my Masters of Social Work degree and graduated in 2008 from the University of Montana. This graduate program had a focus on providing a social justice and integrated practitioner perspective. I have an eclectic style that can be tailored to each unique individual. My primary therapeutic methods include Mindfulness Based, Holistic, Exposure, Narrative, Cognitive and Behavioral, Strengths Based & Solution Focused Therapies. I provide a non-judgmental and compassionate environment that often helps people feel comfortable. A true passion of mine is structuring therapeutic activities for clients to express, process, increase self-awareness, and de-stress from life’s challenging and developmental experiences.

There was a time when I felt trapped by anxiety, depression, and overwhelm. I spent years feeling like I was constantly reacting to the world around me—easily overwhelmed, shutting down, and unsure how to move forward. I was living in a hypervigiliant state - always on edge, feeling unsafe in relationships and in my aloneness. This was also followed with depressive states followed by shame and guilt. Working with a Practitioner in Somatic Experiencing has transformed my emotional well being by helping my brain and body recognize safety and reducing my sensitivity to unpleasant sensations and arousal. I now feel more in control, I welcome unpleasant bodily sensations when they show up, and feel more safe in my body.

My background includes extensive work in behavioral health and addiction treatment, with a focus on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, stress, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I believe therapy should feel supportive, practical, and judgment-free. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, exhausted, anxious, discouraged, or unsure of how to move forward. My goal is to help you better understand what you are experiencing, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and build healthier tools to manage life with more confidence and stability.
