My names is Vashawn Mosley. I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). I also have a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. I have greater than 16 years working in mental health, with greater than 5 years working as a PMHNP.

I am a queer-identified African American cisgender woman. My pronouns are she/her. I hold a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling degree. I have over 12 years of experience effectively treating mental health and substance abuse concerns in LGBTQIA2S+ persons (sex positive; kink affirming), BIPOC and other PGM folx, and femme-identified persons.

At an early age I spent hours listening to people talk about the transitions, traumas, and troubles in their life as I played just out of ear’s reach (or so they thought). These special moments ignited a passion for people and what happens when human beings start being human.

My hope is to walk alongside you throughout this journey of progress and development to achieve your goals and aspirations. I believe in you and your journey to success; whether through mountains, valleys, or flats. I enjoy working with teens, couples & families, especially in the BIPOC community. I use a variety of types of therapy including CBT, trauma informed CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based therapies.. I have experience in multiple disciplines of therapy including Substance Abuse, Inpatient Therapy, Community Therapy, Crisis Treatment, Talk therapy, Family counseling, Parenting Support, and more. I utilize a client centered approach to therapy, integrating clients needs and motivation with my therapeutic skills and expertise to achieve goals and create desired progress.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, I am a compassionate psychiatric nurse practitioner specializing in mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and integrative medicine. I have advanced training in KAP and am proud to offer vibroacoustic therapy as part of my holistic approach to mental health care. My goal is to provide empathetic, personalized support that empowers clients to achieve mental wellness and improve their quality of life.

As a General (Adult) and Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist, I am passionate about empowering all ages on their journey towards mental health and well-being.

I completed a residency in General Psychiatry and fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Georgia's prestigious medical college, one of the oldest medical schools in the nation. This expert, specialized training has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to understand the unique psychological needs of children, adolescents, and adults.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist, and am also a Board Certified Pediatrician (triple-trained in General Pediatrics, General Psychiatry, and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry). I completed pediatrics residency at NYC’s only academic Children’s Hospital in Brooklyn, SUNY Downstate, with additional pediatric and psychiatric clinical internships at Brooklyn’s Maimonides Medical Center. Additionally, I graduated with a Master of Public Health with an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Health Communications from renowned Stony Brook University’s School of Medicine & their Journalism School’s Center for Communicating Science. I graduated medical school with clinical accolades at New York’s oldest osteopathic college, NYIT.
