Hello, my name is Thamreen, and welcome to Tufts and Tulips Therapy! I’m so glad you’ve taken this important first step toward exploring therapy. I understand how overwhelming it can feel, but I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate it alone. With over ten years of experience as a clinical social worker, I’ve had the honor of supporting people who, like you, were unsure or nervous about starting therapy—and together, from tufts to tulips, we’ve created real and lasting change.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in hospitals, EAPs, crisis lines, and community mental health settings, offering care to veterans, people experiencing homelessness, refugees, company executives, youth, the elderly, and everyone in between. Whether you’re an individual, couple, or family, I welcome clients of all genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and backgrounds, ages 17 and up. Kindness, empathy, and respect are the foundation of my work, and I strive to make sure you feel seen, heard, and valued from day one.
Welcome to this courageous journey! If you’ve found your way here—even with hesitation or uncertainty—you’ve already taken a powerful first step: listening to the part of you that longs for healing, clarity, and growth. That alone is an act of strength. You don’t have to walk this path alone. I’m here to walk beside you—as a steady companion—through the valleys and the victories, the questions and the breakthroughs. Together, we’ll create space for your story, your healing, and your becoming.
I hold an MA and PhD in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and Indiana State University, where I received extensive training in multiculturalism and trauma-informed care. Over the past years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical settings—including university counseling centers and community mental health agencies—supporting individuals from all walks of life. I am a certified EMDR therapist and an approved consultant of the EMDRIA.
Hello, and welcome.
I am a dedicated mental health professional with 18 years of experiencing working with teens, adults, and families. I am committed to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and confidence. I specialize in processing childhood trauma and clearing limiting beliefs.
I offer support and skills to those exploring identity, intimacy, or relational complexity—whether in gender, sexuality, kink, or deocolonized relationships. They may be sitting with grief, unraveling the impact of trauma, or feeling the weight of past experiences in their body. They long for connection but struggle with vulnerability, trust, or belonging. Some feel stuck in cycles of overwhelm, while others are questioning the stories they’ve been told about who they are. They seek a space where they can be seen without judgment, process their experiences, and make sense of the systems shaping their lives.
I have been providing individual and couples therapy to career-oriented professionals for more than 33 years. I specialize in premarital & marital therapy, divorce counseling for women, men's issues, career coaching and retirement planning.
I have a Master's degree from The University of Chicago.
I have worked as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for over 8 years in a variety of settings ranging from trauma, impact of addictions on mental and emotional wellbeing, to relationship issues and more. I tend to be laid back and easily approached with no judgement, no criticism and no assumptions.
For more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals, couples, and families as they work toward healing, growth, and change. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor, and Substance Abuse Professional, I bring both deep clinical knowledge and a compassionate, down-to-earth approach to therapy.
I specialize in helping clients navigate life’s most personal challenges—including relationship and intimacy concerns, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, and mental health struggles. I also provide substance abuse treatment, DOT/SAP evaluations, and recovery support using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, the Duluth Model, and the Matrix Model.
I have a special commitment to serving Black communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people living with HIV, re-entry populations, sex workers, and youth facing challenges. I understand how personal, cultural, and systemic factors shape each person’s story, and I create a safe, affirming space where clients feel truly seen and heard.
In our sessions, you can expect a respectful, judgment-free environment where your voice matters. I believe therapy works best as a partnership—we’ll set goals together, explore what’s holding you back, and develop practical strategies you can use in daily life a more fulfilling life. Whether you’re seeking support for a specific issue or simply want to invest in your personal growth, I’m here to help you take that next step.
