Whether it’s a child with big feelings and educational barriers, a teen feeling isolated and unsure of themselves, or an adult attempting to navigate anxiety, stress, burnout, or identity shifts - I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore what’s going on and facilitate lasting change.

I have worked as a therapist since 2014 and really enjoy supporting people in exploring their identity, processing trauma, navigating life transitions, and parenting. I use several different therapy modalities, including EMDR and Brainspotting. Together we can find what works best for you.

Dr. Brutus is a licensed mental health provider and Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) in the field of Sport and Performance Psychology who works at the intersection of mental health, sport, and leadership performance. She supports high-achievers—including athletes, professionals, and leaders—who are navigating pressure, identity, performance demands, and life transitions.

In addition to therapy services covered by insurance, Dr. Brutus also provides mental performance consulting leveraging her specialty training in sport psychology, which focuses on optimizing performance in sport, business, and leadership settings. This work is not covered by insurance and is typically more goal-oriented and performance-driven.

Dr. Brutus is known for her warm, direct, and empowering style. She creates a space where clients feel supported while also being challenged to grow. Whether clients are seeking mental health support, performance enhancement, or both, her goal is to help them build clarity, resilience, and confidence across all areas of life.

I have been a LPC for over 10 years and have worked with a very diverse group of clients. They range in age from 6 to 60. I specialize in adolescents and trauma. I have also worked with depression, anxiety, personal relationships, parenting problems, addictions, emotional abuse, and physical trauma.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Mississippi & Tennessee, a National Certified Counselor, and a National Certified School Counselor. I have over 18 years of experience in the counseling field. I offer sessions IN PERSON and VIRTUALLY. I provide therapy for individuals and couples.
