Having worked in community care settings, the school setting, and in private practice, my strengths are working with teenagers, individuals, adults, families, and couples experiencing challenges in relationships and connection. With 15 years of counseling experience, I offer a depth of compassion, wisdom, and appreciation for the difficulties that we all face in life. I expect my clients to engage in therapy with intent and the expectation that they will gain the skills and strategies to empower themselves to live their best lives.
I was born and raised in Montana and have a genuine passion for nature and the outdoors. I received my Bachelors in Psychology at Montana State University in 2001. I then pursued my Masters of Social Work degree and graduated in 2008 from the University of Montana. This graduate program had a focus on providing a social justice and integrated practitioner perspective. I have an eclectic style that can be tailored to each unique individual. My primary therapeutic methods include Mindfulness Based, Holistic, Exposure, Narrative, Cognitive and Behavioral, Strengths Based & Solution Focused Therapies. I provide a non-judgmental and compassionate environment that often helps people feel comfortable. A true passion of mine is structuring therapeutic activities for clients to express, process, increase self-awareness, and de-stress from life’s challenging and developmental experiences.
I specialize in working with anxiety, trauma, PTSD, identity exploration, family dynamics, depression, stress, and relationship challenges.
I also support clients navigating creative blocks, life transitions, cultural identity, and the emotional effects of childhood experiences. Many of the individuals I work with describe feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to put their experiences into words — and that’s okay. Healing isn’t about perfection or having a polished story. It’s about beginning where you are.
My journey into becoming a therapist began well before I was born — shaped by the inheritance of generational mental health patterns within my family. As a teenager, I turned to art-making as a way to express and process what I didn’t yet have language for. That process sparked curiosity and eventually led me to explore psychology, anthropology, indigenous healing traditions, and later, art therapy as a modality that honors both mind and body.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in Montana starts with identifying what kind of support you need. Whether you're looking for help with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, trauma, or another challenge, choosing a licensed provider — such as an LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or psychologist — who specializes in your area of concern can make a meaningful difference. Reading a provider's bio before booking can help you understand their approach and decide if they're a good match.
Montana's size and rural landscape can make accessing in-person mental health care difficult, especially outside of cities like Billings, Missoula, Bozeman, Great Falls, and Helena. Virtual therapy is a widely available option that connects you with licensed providers from anywhere in the state. On Headway, you can browse providers who offer virtual or in-person sessions and book directly based on real-time availability.
Therapy in Montana can be expensive without insurance coverage. Using your in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay out of pocket. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before you book, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a provider who fits your needs and your budget.
