Hi, I’m Eliza Rivera-Mitu, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I specialize in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, as well as the psychiatric challenges in autism. With a background in both psychiatry and family medicine, I take a holistic approach that considers the whole person—not just the diagnosis. I'm passionate about helping you feel heard, empowered, and supported in your mental health journey.

My professional background is grounded in years of experience and education, with specialties that address a variety of mental health conditions. am Air Force Veteran with my background as an Air Traffic Controller, Medical Technician, and Emergency Room Nurse. I also have experience working in-patient psychiatric and behavioral health hospitals with adolescents. I have a Bachelors in Psychology, Bachelors in Nursing, and Master's Degree in Nursing specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Nevada. I graduated with my Master of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling in 2009 and hold three degrees in the field of counseling/psychology. I am within several classes of achieving a second Master's degree in the field of substance abuse treatment. I have additional formal and practical training in the areas of trauma informed care, impulse control/anger management, crisis intervention, and cognitive behavioral modification strategies. I have worked with a wide variety of populations including co-occurring disorders (substance and mental health), at risk youth, and various other adult high risk/high need populations in both intensive inpatient and outpatient settings. Throughout my years of experience, I have worked at length with the majority of DSM V diagnosed disorders.

I am a nurse practitioner with dual certifications in family practice and psychiatric mental health. My passion for holistic care drives my integrated approach, addressing both primary care and mental health to meet my patients' diverse needs.
