Hi there and welcome!
My priority is supporting clients on their journeys towards personal healing & growth.
In 2010, I received my MSW/LMSW. While doing outpatient clinical work at the NYC non-profit agency JBFCS, I became an LCSW. In 2016, I began to establish my private psychotherapy practice, focusing on young and professional adults presenting with a broad variety of life challenges.
As a licensed psychologist, I help clients achieve their goals and overcome challenges through a collaborative and evidence-based approach. Using a culturally responsive cognitive behavior therapy framework, I create a safe space for self-exploration and making meaningful change. Working together, my clients have reported improved mood, relationships, and self-image. I have helped clients change unhelpful habits, adjust to life transitions, and reach their goals.
Elise is a mental health nurse practitioner that has practiced in a variety of settings, most recently as a coordinator and nurse practitioner to the women's program at Weill Cornell Medical Center. She has received additional training through Postpartum Support International, the Beck Institute, and the IPT Institute. Once an oncology nurse at WCMC, she has received training in survivorship and loss.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in New City starts with identifying what kind of support you need. Providers in the Rockland County area offer care for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions. Consider whether you're looking for individual therapy, couples counseling, or family therapy, and whether a specific approach — such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — matters to you. Reading a provider's bio can help you understand their style and decide if they're a good match before you book.
Practical factors also matter when choosing a therapist. Think about whether you prefer in-person sessions at a local office or the flexibility of virtual appointments. Check that the provider is fully licensed in New York — common credentials include LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, and licensed psychologists. If you're looking for medication management, a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner can help. Many providers offer a free phone consultation so you can ask questions and see if it's a good fit before committing to a session.
Therapy in New City and the surrounding Rockland County area can be expensive out of pocket, but affordable options exist when you use in-network insurance coverage. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs upfront, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a provider who is both the right clinical fit and covered by your plan.
