As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, and life transitions. I have a special interest in supporting caregivers, including those in the "sandwich generation" balancing children and aging parents, as well as spouses and partners of first responders who are navigating the demands of shift work and secondary stress.
I started my career as an art teacher, working at Saint Augustine Academy for seven years. I moved to London, England to work in an alternative school as an art therapist. I moved on to Dublin, Ireland where I worked with adults transitioning from homelessness to finding housing within Dublin City. I returned to Cleveland in 2009, first working with at-risk youth in the community, then moving to working in schools. I have also worked in residential treatment for youth with severe behavioral issues and in an alternative school as an art teacher. I worked with children, adolescents, and adults in private practice for 12 years, and have recently returned to community based work with families experiencing crisis and trauma.
I think it takes guts to be in psychotherapy. Life is hard and beautiful, & it is always possible to feel better and live a fuller life, I work collaboratively with clients to cope with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting, divorce and ADHD. I received my MSW in social work from Boston College and trained on child and family teams in the Boston area.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in Ohio starts with getting clear on what you need. Whether you're looking for help with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or another challenge, choosing a licensed provider who specializes in your area of concern can make a real difference. Common license types in Ohio include LPC, LPCC, LISW, LICSW, and psychologist — and if you need medication management, psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners are also available.
Ohio is a large state, and access to mental health care can vary depending on where you live. Residents of Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Akron, and Dayton may have more in-person options nearby, while virtual sessions make it possible to connect with a licensed Ohio provider from anywhere in the state. Reading a provider's bio before booking can help you understand their approach, specialties, and what a session with them might look like.
Therapy in Ohio can be expensive without insurance, but using your in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before you book. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and many patients pay as low as $0 per session — though costs vary based on your location and exact coverage.
