Hi, I’m Macheda, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions that can leave you feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or uncertain about what comes next. Many of my clients are used to being strong for others but privately feel stretched thin, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to keep carrying everything they’ve been holding. Therapy can be a space to pause, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and begin moving forward with greater clarity and self-understanding.

Through my experience in healthcare and individual settings, I’ve supported people and families during some of life’s most challenging and vulnerable moments. As an immigrant, I also understand how culture, identity, family expectations, and lived experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, relate to others, and navigate change. I recognize that emotional struggles do not happen in isolation, and I take care to understand the full context of your experiences rather than focusing only on symptoms.

My name is Winell Soures, LCSW-R, SAP, MA, I am the Founder, Psychotherapist, and Facilitator for the Practice of Winell Soures, PLLC formerly EMPOW-R Services. I have over 20 years in Counseling, 14 of which are specified in Psychotherapy. In addition to a Master's Degree in Social Work, I have a Master's Degree in Africana Studies, with a concentration in African Psychology. I am also a Certified Emotional Intelligence Coach, working towards my Master Coach Certification.

I am glad you found me, and you found this website. To me, that shows that you are ready to make a change in your life. My goal for you in therapy is to live a happier life every day. We are not guaranteed a lot in life, but my goal is to give you the power to enjoy what we do have influence on. I am a human just like you, and my approach is the same. Counseling is my second career and a profession I genuinely love. My life experiences have shaped who I am as a therapist, allowing me to meet each client’s story with compassion, empathy, and respect. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.
