I’m Karolyn Brown, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I work with teens, adults, couples, and families, and my style is warm, practical, and grounded in evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, & Solution-Focused work.

I often help clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, major life transitions, and the complexities of blended or high-conflict families. I also do a lot of work in grief and bereavement, holding space for people who are trying to make sense of deep loss while still finding a way forward.

I am a doctoral-prepared nurse (DNP) and a dual-certified nurse practitioner (FNP-C/PMHNP-BC) with more than twenty years of nursing experience. I am great at combining my clinical skills with a holistic approach to patient care, with a goal of helping you feel understood and empowered. I am committed to improving patient outcomes through clear communication and care planning and implementing evidence-based treatment plans.

As a mom myself who has been through the ups and downs of postpartum and trying to juggle it all, I know how much we can get pushed to the back burner. I eventually overcame the feeling of always being behind and neglecting myself, which is where I found a passion in helping other women reclaim their lives and be their happiest selves. I sought to create a safe space for women to come and spend an hour each week prioritizing themselves and bettering their lives.
