I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. My undergraduate B.A and graduate M.A. training took place at Wheaton College. Following graduate school in the midwest, I moved to the west coast, where I attended the California School of Professional Psychology. Here, I earned a M.A in applied psychology and Psy. D. in clinical psychology with a dual emphasis in forensics and family therapy. My research consisted of working with high risk sexual offenders. Following my time on the west coast, I worked as a Staff Psychologist and Assistant Professor at a local university. In my free time, I train in combat arts and play guitar (try at least ;-).
Weather you have been considering therapy, worked with therapy in the past or loved ones are suggesting reaching out-welcome to my practice. I work with individuals, couples and families in the assessment and treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship issues, career issues, job dissatisfaction. My specialty areas included the assessment and treatment of Perinatal and Postpartum Depression/Anxiety and Grief and Loss.
I can understand first-hand how difficult it can be to reach out for help for the first time. I believe in the importance of "practicing what you preach" and I have been the client in the room who needs extra support. I invite you to give yourself a chance, try something new, and gain a healthy perspective on how to address complicated moments in your life.

Finding the right family therapist in Moreno Valley starts with identifying what your family needs. Family therapy can address a range of concerns — from parent-child conflict and co-parenting after separation to adjusting to a blended household or working through communication patterns that affect the whole family. A licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), or licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) with experience in family systems can help.
Moreno Valley is part of Riverside County, and families here have access to both local in-person providers and virtual sessions with therapists licensed in California. When comparing providers, consider their specific experience with your family's concerns, whether they offer scheduling that works for multiple family members, and how their communication style comes across in their bio.
Family therapy in the Inland Empire can be costly out of pocket. Using your in-network insurance benefits is one of the most practical ways to reduce session costs.
