I have lived in the Truckee Tahoe area off an on for over 30 years, I have an AA Degree in Early Child Development, a BA Degree from the University of California Santa Cruz, and I attended the University of. Nevada, Reno for my Masters in Social Work.

My roots are in Scranton, Pennsylvania; growing up, life was challenging and unpredictable for me and my sisters. I was the first member of our extended family who was able to put themselves through both undergraduate (BA - Latin American Studies/UCSC, and graduate school (MSW- Masters in Social Work, (UNR) and graduate with honors.
All three of my younger sisters followed in my footsteps to pursue higher education and to find success as Professionals.
My husband and I moved to the Tahoe/Truckee area together in the early 1990s, pursuing seasonal employment. We somehow made ends meet, things got a little easier each year, and he later pursued a career in resort and business management, while I pursued continuing education, mental health and licensure, and opening up my practice.
Our son and a daughter both grew up enjoyed attending local public schools in Truckee, and later the Univeristy of California; they are both living fulfilling adult lives in the nearby region.

I believe the best work happens when you feel comfortable, understood, and supported. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself—no pressure, no judgment, and no need to have everything figured out before you start. We’ll work together to explore what’s bringing you in, what matters most to you, and what you’d like to change or better understand.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all approaches. Each person is different, so our work will be tailored to your needs, your goals, and your pace. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, going through a transition, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, I’m here to help you move forward in a way that feels manageable and authentic.
What I Bring to Our Work
If you’re looking for someone who is easy to talk to, genuinely supportive, and invested in your growth, I’d be glad to work with you and see if we’re a good fit.
Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by anxiety, depression, self-doubt, or past experiences? Moving forward can feel difficult when emotional pain, relationship struggles, or life stress leave you feeling trapped or uncertain. You do not have to face these challenges alone. I provide a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where we can work together to help you heal, grow, and regain confidence. I believe your worth is not defined by your past or your struggles. Together, we will explore practical tools and strategies to help you create meaningful change and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
You've done meaningful therapeutic work and you're ready to go deeper. You're successful in the external markers of your life, but you know there's more—greater depth, connection, and purpose waiting for you. You've addressed foundational trauma, and now you want to explore subtler patterns: how you hold back in intimacy, the meanings you're searching for, the fuller expression of yourself you sense is possible. You may be curious about psychedelic-assisted therapy as a tool for profound insight. You're not dealing with crisis, but are looking for a guide who can support you in moving from survival to fully living in your wholeness.
I am a California LMFT with several years of experience in community mental health and private practice settings. I help support people through challenges such as chronic "stuck" mood states, family dynamics, and trauma. Much of my work focuses on helping clients better understand themselves within the context of their own lives. I value warmth, curiosity, and open inquiry as foundations for meaningful therapeutic work.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Berkeley, California. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, relationship patterns, and the lingering effects of difficult or painful experiences. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, high-functioning, and insightful, yet still find themselves stuck in patterns that feel hard to shift alone.
My background includes training in EMDR, somatic and attachment-focused therapy, parts work, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute. I also bring a mindfulness and body-based perspective to therapy through years of yoga and meditation practice.
My style is warm, collaborative, and depth-oriented while still practical and grounded. I especially enjoy working with complex trauma, highly self-aware clients, neurodivergent clients, and people who want therapy that goes beyond coping skills alone.
