Hi there, I'm Crystal!
I am a licensed clinical social worker and licensed addiction counselor. I use targeted evidence-based approaches to best suit my client's needs.
Before private practice, I worked with clients experiencing depression and anxiety, psychosis, severe personality disorders, addiction, and homelessness, so I am comfortable treating a wide range of issues.
My name is Teresa Hernandez and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have 20+ years working with Mental Health and Substance Abuse challenges.
I love working with adults and youth ages 11-80. I have worked with many modalities such DBT, CBT, Anger Management, Crisis intervention, Suicide Prevention, and Substance Abuse. I've worked with clients from many walks of life and with varied needs.
I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work at the University of Wyoming. Wyoming is my home state. It is filled with wildlife and the worst snow you can image. I moved to Colorado in 2010 to continue my quest for helping others. Many years ago, someone helped me and I having been giving back for more than 20+ years. Together, we will develop a comprehensive plan so that you can get the tools you need to help you reach your goals. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help and for that I appreciate you. Please contact me to see if we're a good fit.
I know that reaching out for help can feel daunting, and I truly admire your courage in taking this step toward better mental wellness. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who cares deeply about mental health, I'm here to offer you a warm, safe, and supportive space where you can comfortably share your experiences and challenges.
Credentials and Experience
I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Oklahoma and Colorado, a board-certified counselor (NCC), and hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision - which means I don't just practice therapy, I train and supervise other therapists. That clinical depth shapes everything about how I work with clients.
My specialization is neurocounseling: integrating what we know about the brain and nervous system into practical, grounded therapy. I also hold specialized training in telehealth - so working with you virtually isn't a workaround, it's where I do my best work.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, identity, and the particular kind of exhaustion that comes from holding everything together for too long.
Most people who finally reach out have been putting it off for a while, waiting to feel ready or wondering whether what they're going through is serious enough to count. I'm Victoria, a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, and the life transitions that knock you off your footing. I also hold specialized certifications in substance use, so if that's part of what you're carrying, you're in good hands. Clients often describe me as approachable, honest, and steady.
I believe meaningful change happens when people feel understood, supported, and empowered. My approach is collaborative and client-centered—I meet you where you are and tailor our work to your goals, values, and lived experience. Rather than a one-size-fits-all method, I focus on what will be most helpful and sustainable for you.
My style is warm, grounded, and practical. Clients often describe me as thoughtful, easy to talk to, and direct in a compassionate way. I create a space where you can be honest without judgment, ask questions, and explore challenges at your own pace. I balance insight and reflection with actionable strategies you can apply in real life.
One of my strengths is helping clients gain clarity when things feel overwhelming or stuck. I’m skilled at identifying patterns, simplifying complex issues, and turning insight into forward movement. Whether we’re working on growth, healing, decision-making, or skill-building, my goal is to help you feel more confident, capable, and aligned with yourself.
If you’re looking for a professional who is engaged, respectful, and genuinely invested in your progress, I’d be glad to work with you.
I was raised in San Diego, CA, and received my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. I completed both my doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at CU Boulder's Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS). I prioritize a generalist approach that prepares me to work effectively with a very wide range of concerns in therapy, and I have specializations in providing compassionate crisis services as well as behavioral health support in medical settings.
I am a transpersonal psychotherapist, life coach, healer, and artist with extensive experience in trauma/PTSD and dual-diagnosis work (substance and disordered eating issues). My approach recognizes that challenges often stem from trauma, and lasting recovery requires working with all facets of your being. I offer unique, holistic paths to healing, including both online sessions and in-person work at my retreat center for those who want to connect with nature. I provide compassionate guidance and effective tools to help you unlock deeper self-discovery and lasting growth.
