I have been working in healthcare since 2007, working as a certified nursing assistant taking care of elderly patients in long term care facilities and home care. I later graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2008 and continued to work in long term care facilities caring for the elderly. I graduated as a Registered Nurse from Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing and went on to taking care of patients ranging from young adults to geriatric with acute conditions, stable chronic conditions and complex medical conditions. In 2018, I graduated as a Nurse Practitioner and worked with patients post cardiac surgery, critically ill patient in the intensive care unit and a mix of neurology, neurosurgery, general surgery, vascular surgery and medically unstable psychiatric patients. After experiencing postpartum, with my extensive medical background, I decided to pursue a degree in Psychiatry to help more people goring through what I went through. I graduated with my PMHNP from Western Connecticut State University in 2025. Through my education, I was able to provide care for patients, both stable and acute, with depression, ADHD, PTSD, Anxiety, and mood disorders.
I am a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of nursing experience working with patients facing diverse physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional challenges. As a result, my expertise in psychopharmacology is built upon years of nursing experience in various healthcare settings including hospitals, schools and academia.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with training in adult outpatient psychiatry and telehealth. My background includes psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults with anxiety, depression, mood-related concerns, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, sleep difficulties, and stress or burnout. I take a supportive, collaborative approach focused on clear communication and shared decision-making. Evening appointments are available.
Great to meet you! I am a DNP-prepared, dual-certified Psychiatric and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years in healthcare. I specialize in helping adults and adolescents navigate complex mental health journeys, from daily management to high-acuity needs. My approach is rooted in holistic, evidence-based care, tailored specifically to you. I take the time to listen, working collaboratively to create a stable, supportive environment where you feel empowered. Whether we are focusing on medication management or therapeutic support, my goal is to help you feel grounded, heard, and in control of your well-being.
I specialize in working with individuals who feel stuck in unhealthy or confusing relationship patterns, including those recovering from narcissistic abuse or navigating attachment wounds. Together, we focus on building self-trust, strengthening boundaries, and creating more secure, fulfilling connections.
I also enjoy working with teens and young adults who are navigating important life transitions, whether that’s adjusting to college, exploring identity, managing anxiety, or figuring out friendships and dating. This stage of life can feel overwhelming, and therapy can offer a space to better understand yourself and build confidence in who you are becoming.
For 18 years, I worked in education as an elementary school teacher, school therapist, and Director of Counseling, giving me a unique perspective on the challenges teens and families face. In private practice, I work with adolescents (13+), adults, and older adults, helping them navigate stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship struggles. My clients often say they appreciate my direct, motivating, and real approach, which helps them feel like an equal in the therapy process.
