Natasha Vernon is the owner of Sunshine Behavioral & Mental Health Center, LLC. She is a dually certified family nurse practitioner and psychiatric nurse practitioner. She earned her master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2016 and post master’s life span psychiatric nurse practitioner certification from Washburn University in 2020. She has over 10 years of nursing experience in various specialties within the medical field. Throughout her career, she has treated a variety of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, and other psychiatric disorders. She is truly passionate about providing care for people suffering with mental illness.

At Sunshine Behavioral & Mental Health Center, LLC, our goal is to provide compassionate, kind, and empathetic care to all of our patients and eliminate all stigmas associated with people diagnosed with mental illness. I'm Juan Carlos Martell, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida who believes therapy should feel like a real conversation — not a clinical evaluation. My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Existential Therapy to help us work through what's weighing you down while reconnecting with what actually matters to you.

I work with adults and teens in navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-doubt, and the quiet question of "is this really the life I want?" Outside the therapy room, I'm a published author of The Adventures of Kevin & Friends, a children's mental health book series designed to help families talk openly about emotions. I'm also the creator of PsychLife on Instagram, where I make psychology accessible for everyone, and the founder of MindfulPractice, an upcoming mental health app rooted in CBT, ACT, and mindfulness.

Lacy is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor that specializes in working with clients with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), specifically working with many parents when there is perinatal or postpartum OCD and postpartum depression. Subtypes of OCD that she is most familiar with in addition to perinatal/postpartum OCD are Harm OCD, Contamination OCD, and Sexual Obsessions (such a Pedophilia OCD P-OCD). She has seen many clients with counting and checking related compulsions as well.
