Welcome — My name is Brian. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 27 years of experience helping people navigate life’s challenges and rediscover their strength. Over the years, I’ve learned that the most effective counseling happens when clients feel genuinely understood. My priority is getting to know who you are, how you think, and what matters most to you.
My approach is collaborative and down‐to‐earth. I don’t sit back and observe — I partner with you! Together, we identify what’s getting in the way and build practical, meaningful steps toward the version of yourself you want to become.
With decades of clinical and academic experience behind me, I draw from a wide range of tools and perspectives. More importantly, I bring a steady, compassionate presence that helps people feel safe, supported, and confident as they move forward.
You might feel misunderstood, overwhelmed by mood changes, or unsure how to navigate relationships in a way that feels natural or fulfilling. Whether you’re dealing with depression, bipolar patterns, or feeling “different” in social or emotional spaces, it can be exhausting trying to figure it out on your own.
I work with adults, including neurodivergent individuals, who want to better understand themselves, improve relationships, and feel more steady and connected in their daily lives. My goal is to create a space where you feel respected, supported, and able to be fully yourself.
I work with women, parents, and families who are feeling overwhelmed—whether it’s parenting stress, relationship challenges, or struggles with substance use. Many of my clients come in feeling stuck or carrying more than they can manage alone. Therapy with me is a space where you can feel safe, seen, and heard as we build coping skills, strengthen relationships, and help you reconnect with your clarity and confidence. Clients describe me as supportive, honest, and easy to talk to.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and have extensive experience supporting clients of all ages, including children, teens, families, and couples. My practice focuses on helping individuals navigate trauma, build healthier emotional relationships, and develop tools for resilience. I am dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate space where clients can heal, grow, and strengthen their connections with themselves and others.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply not like yourself, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it on your own. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, life transitions, or emotional burnout, therapy can help you regain clarity and control. Together, we’ll focus on understanding your full experience—not just symptoms—so you can move toward lasting, meaningful change and feel more grounded in your daily life.

I am dedicated to helping children, teens and adults discover their unique voice and express themselves in a safe, supportive and nonjudgemental space. I’m a cis-gender heterosexual female. My husband and I have a high school aged son. I’m originally from St. Louis, MO but I have lived in Florida for a combined 36 years because I love living in paradise. One of the things I enjoy about virtual work is seeing my clients’ pets too.
I was a non-traditional student and got my bachelor's degree at 29 and my master's degree at 32. The life skills I gained as I worked my way through school have been helpful throughout my career. For some people, the age of their therapist is important. I am 49 years old.
Some of my helpful qualities include being non-judgmental. I have talked to people of all kinds, many ages with all kinds of histories and all kinds of present lives. There really isn't a topic you can't discuss with me, I have never felt a client gave me "TMI" or too much information. You are guaranteed privacy and confidentiality. You can get judgment for free anywhere else. I believe everyone is doing the best they can with what they know.
I am often told after first sessions that I'm easy to talk to and those clients feel better just having gotten some things off their chest.
I have treated children and teens throughout my career beginning at my first job in foster care.since beginning in I graduated from my masters degree. I have also treated adults with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, PTSD, sexual dysfunction, porn addiction, people in the LGBTQ community & people in alternative lifestyles.
I also treated patients in hospice as well as other medical settings. I treat people with chronic illnesses and occasionally I treat people with life limiting illnesses.
Here at Headway I will treat anyone who is 10 or older because I believe they are best suited for virtual therapy. I'm open to appeals about this policy.
