Before becoming a therapist, I worked as both an educator and hospital social worker, giving me firsthand insight into the pressures and challenges that often accompany helping professions. In addition to my clinical experience, I've spent many years serving in Christian ministry, an experience that continues to shape the compassion, perspective, and care that I bring to my work. As a therapist, I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, and life transitions.
Many of the clients I work with come to me feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or weighed down by experiences they’ve carried for far too long. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship patterns rooted in early attachment wounds, or the lingering impact of trauma. Others are navigating life transitions, loss, or changes in identity that leave them uncertain about their next steps. At the core, most are seeking relief, clarity, and a stronger sense of themselves. They want to feel more regulated, more confident, and more capable of moving through daily life without being held back by old patterns or emotional pain.
Many of the people I work with don't look like they're struggling. They're responsible, dependable, insightful, and often the person others turn to for support. They've learned to cope by staying productive, keeping their emotions in check, and trying to get things "right." Those strategies probably helped them at one point. Left unmanaged, though, they can lead to anxiety, burnout, loneliness, or a feeling that life has become more about managing than actually living.
I'm especially passionate about helping people understand these patterns without shame. Together, we'll work toward a life that feels guided by your values rather than by fear, pressure, or the need to stay in control.

I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in Minnesota with a PhD in Psychology, 7 years of experience working as a therapist, and 22 years of experience working as a coach. Some of the many issues I have worked with people on are depression, anxiety, self-harm, addiction, trauma, parenting problems, relationship issues, ADHD, sexual abuse, pornography addiction, and anger management.
I believe that therapy is a space that belongs to you and is nurtured by your therapist for you. Through this healing environment, I give you the tools to change self-defeating behaviors.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with my PhD in Psychology, I have been providing counseling for over 20 years.
