Therapy is a safe space for you to explore and be heard. During our time together my role is to help foster a safe space and meet you where you feel your needs are. Together we can discuss the stressors which have you reaching out for therapy.
I have been in practice for the last 5 years primarily in the intensive outpatient setting. I offer a safe, compassionate space where your story is heard and respected. Together, we’ll work toward understanding your experiences, building coping skills, and creating meaningful change.
As a single mom of color, I have witnessed the extreme societal pressure placed on mothers to choose between their career or their children; leaving little room to even provide attention to their own self care. This ignited a passion within me to use my skills to support women to navigate through the chaos. My goal is to work with those women who may need help coping through these very real everyday stressors. Not a mom? That's ok! I can also empathize with the pressure placed on women of color in the workplace to work so much harder than their male counterparts. Its my hope to create a safe space for you to explore these feelings.
It can be challenging at times for women to have access to a therapist who can empathize with their experiences. Through a strengths based approach, I would love to share my personal experience with being a woman of color, a mom, a Christian, as well as a goal oriented professional in non-profit leadership and mental health.
Through this journey, I want you to find a sense of fulfillment, purpose, and self worth and I would be honored to take that walk with you. Our sessions will not be for me to "social work" you, but for you to unload some of the pressure and burden to make the ride a bit easier. No matter what it feels like, you got this... you can do this!

I am a womanist art therapist who supports clients in exploring their stories through creative expression. My approach encourages growth, self-awareness, and healing in relation to culture, identity, and the systems that shape our lives. I work from a strength based, culturally responisve lens, holding space for individuals adn communities to be seen, heard, and affirmed. Through the creative process, I help clients navigate life transitions, trauma, anxiety, and identity development while fostering resilience and collective care.
I’m glad you’re here! It’s a brave step to reach out. It is my hope that you feel welcomed by me, no matter where you may be in your life. It may feel scary or intimidating to begin therapy. My top priority is making it a comfortable, trusting, and safe experience for you. I treat overwhelmed and overburdened mothers, women of all ages, and young adults.

Finding a postpartum therapist in Buffalo starts with identifying the type of support you need. Postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and other perinatal mood concerns are common, and support from a qualified healthcare professional may help. Look for a licensed provider such as an LCSW, LMHC, or psychologist who has specific experience with perinatal mental health. Reading a provider's bio can help you understand their approach and decide if they're a good match before you commit.
